"At around 3:45 this afternoon, I went into this fish chip shop(my second ever visit). Had planned to buy a fish supper. I was the only customer in the shop at this time. I had noticed one female employee outside smoking, and there was one male staff member behind the counter(biggish lad, tanned skin, bald) who seemed fixated on his mobile phone. After being stood there for almost a minute without so much as an acknowledgement from him, I purposely did a small cough, assuming this might raise his attention? Sadly it didn't and even with the internal access door through to the market slamming in the wind..our friend's concentration on his phone did not waver. So after being ignored for almost 2 minutes, I assumed my business was not required from this establishment, so exited. After leaving I politely mentioned my dissatisfaction to the middle aged female who was still outside smoking, but sadly her attitude left a lot to be desired..she simply couldn't care less!! My previous visit to this same place around a month previous, I'd found the food prices good, but the staff noticeably mediocre..now it all makes sense."

"great seafood and relaxed atmosphere. it is worth visiting this hidden gem of a restaurant. it's just a short walk from canary wharf, but they need to look for him. the appetizers are delicious. "This was hands down the worst meal I have ever had in Dundee. The fish was overcooked and mushy, the fritters were bland and soggy, and the mac and cheese was gritty, greasy, and had a strange taste (I couldn't bring myself to finish it for fear of getting sick). The peas were the only decent part of the meal, despite being too sour. The overall experience was disappointing - the food was both overcooked and tasteless. On top of it all, the prices were high for such poor quality. I made the mistake of ordering half an hour before closing (due to a misunderstanding of the closing time), so I appreciate that they still served me. However, I would advise looking elsewhere for a fresh, satisfying meal."

"Harry RAMSDEN’S Brighton The great thing about TA is that if negative reviews mention the same issues year after year then it’s obvious the owner or management doesn’t care. Such it is with Brighton HR. I went there today for lunch. But the prices were astronomical, and reading many reviews here the quality was low so far as causing sickness. So I thought maybe a take away might be cheaper. But the first challenge were the steps up to the serving area. With no railings I just about got up them. However there was no one taking orders in the serving area, and the warming cabinets were empty. OK I thought at least mine will be cooked fresh. Another customer then arrived and asked if I had ordered yet. No I said, there’s no one here. Ah he said, you have to order first at the entrance on the wall mounted computer system. He pointed down the stairs that I had just struggled up. Don’t they take cash I said? No contactless card only. And no cash. But don’t I get to see what I’m ordering first? Nope was his reply. I really didn’t want to struggle down the stairs to order from a faceless computer screen, and then struggle back up. So I made a snap decision obviously HR had gone rogue with a take it or leave it policy. So I left as best I could. Then I caught a 27 bus to Saltdean where there is an amazing Chinese owned fish and chippy, serving fresh caught fish at half the price of HR and of infinitely better quality."

"The food we were served is not what made Harry Ramsden's fish and chips famous, batter was not crispy neither was the chips. I could see from other diners that there food wasn't crispy either. A lady sat opposite me took the batter off her fish and was able to fold it up on her plate. We ordered sticky toffee pudding with custard that came out cold, we had taken a couple of spoonfuls to establish this and the waitress took them away, microwaved them and added more custard rather than bringing out fresh desserts. Very poor and won't be going back."

"Needs better ketchup! That and curry sauce are the two condiments essential to a good supper. Good choice of food. See menu The staff were nice although seems they were a bit bored and grumpy , served quickly and food arrived within 10 minutes. Fish was very good. Batter crispy and light. Bottom of fish a little soggy but was ok. The sausages are really bad quality. Looked like a Richmond sausge pale and tasted horrible. Again the batter was great just couldnt eat it. It's either two small battered pale nasty ones or a large which I havnt tried. Chips were nice but they could be better. Choice of cold drinks over £2 a can. Coffee is decent. Food is a reasonable price. Small space but we were very happy sitting inside. If it was busier I think it would be uncomfortable eith the main seating area having chairs back to back so close. I realise making the best of the space. They do usualy have outside seating. In a great spot by sea front opposite family entertainment. We have been here before and it was much better so I'm not sure what's changed. Shame but I'd return for the fish and id try the larger herby sausage."

"Regarding Leed's lunch points, this is perfect for business or casual meetings. Caracas keeps things simple, but serves flavors in their perfectly grilled meat. Portion sizes are great, like someone with a big appetite, I find myself regularly order two nets out, but not here. Always leave full (or even with some remains for later a day! . Can't recommend the steak enough, seasoned for perfection and so delicate. You won't be disappointed in combination with the pig sausage! Must add that the service is also really good to keep You have an eye on you, but do not disturb so no unpleasant questions if you have a mouthful."

"First, I want to clarify that I am not a vegan, but I was invited to dine at this restaurant. To be honest, I've never been particularly fond of vegan food, but I was so impressed by the dining experience, service, and quality here that I’m seriously reconsidering my choices. We used the app to place our order, and our food was delivered to our table almost instantly. Everything was fresh and exactly as described. I tried the oyster mushroom burger, and honestly, it was incredibly delicious. We also ordered fries to share, and a generous portion was served. The burger itself was filled and perfectly balanced. I was truly impressed. Keep up the great work, everyone!"

"Horribly overpriced for poor quality food. The price was already pretty high on the menu so I had thought about leaving and going elsewhere, but I was very hungry already. Then he charged me an even higher price than what it said on the menu. I don't know if he thought that I was a tourist and it was ok to rip me off or something. I'm not the type to stand there and get into an argument with people, so after paying a ridiculous amount, I ate the hugely disappointing food. The chips were terrible. They were really hard and overcooked. I probably should have thrown it away as I felt quite sick afterwards, but I had been upset about the thought of wasting the money. With the cost of living these day, I don't treat myself to takeaway food very often. I know there are much better fish and chip shops in Canterbury, so I would recommend going to any other one. This just seems like a place designed to rip off tourists due to its central location."
