"We had the good fortune of discovering La Fortuna for our last night in London. From the moment we walked up there was something charming and inviting about this unpretentious restaurant. The waiter greeted us warmly and obviously had great rapport with the other guests, many of whom seemed local. Chef Elsa came out to tell us the specials and we settled on a seafood salad (grilled calamari, prawns, peppers, and langoustine, with plenty of greens and black olives which was excellent. My partner followed this with a prawn and spicy vegetable ravioli and I had the penne alla carbonara (made properly with guanciale and no cream! . Elsa and her team were lovely and engaging throughout our experience, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in London. Oh, and if you know anyone looking for a waiting job in London they’re desperately short staffed!!"
