"A birthday treat and we really enjoyed it. First time we had eaten there and the food, wine and staff all very pleasant and enjoyable. The Sunday lunch deal of 3 courses for just under £20 was good value. Even tho a set meal there was a wide choice and liked the selfservice first course where I had smoked salmon, ceaser salad, coleslaw and lovely rustic bread. My partner had an omlette made by the chef, closely watched by me who's rubbish at doing them. The roast ribeye with all the trimmings was juicy and flavourful and using the attendant chef again, enjoyed that old favourite zingy crepes suzette. The only minor complaint was that it was very hot...maybe just over compensation with the heating system. Would certainly visit again."
