"Dreadful meal, food not as described (kleftico it was not, instead 6-7 boiled potatoes lightly seasoned with a few tiny bits of meat, all slathered with an indeterminate brown sludge) , and the main course (priced at £20/head) was so small we thought we’d been sent a starter by mistake. Despite being advertised as gluten free, the subminiature meal was served with a gluten containing supermarket naan. Staff were pleasant enough but said they didn’t have the authority to deal with our complaint, and said the manager would be in touch with us the next day. Perhaps unsurprisingly, two days on and we’ve yet to hear from him. Afterwards we asked some locals whether we’d had an unusually bad experience at the spread eagle. We were told that no, it’s always dreadful. And the decor is also grim, a B&M does Versailles vibe. Avoid!"
