"It must be said that we had booked prior to an international England match so I'm not sure this is fully reflective of Chanterelle however, for £80 per head for a set menu (not disclosed at the time of booking although we were called by the owner prior to the date) is a ridculous amount to pay for a starter consisting of a few prawns, one piece of asparagus, some beans, an egg and Salmon-delivered within 3 mins of sitting down. For mains, 2 mins afer we finished starters, we all had stake (decent size and good sauce), side of potatoes. We chose the cheese for desserts but by that time, we just felt we were on a conveyer belt with the end approaching fast. Hopefully, this was because it was match day but I wouldn't pay again to find out."
