"I recently dined at Nando's, and the food was absolutely delicious with no complaints in that department. However, there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to the service. Nando's has always been my go-to place for mouthwatering dishes, and this visit was no exception. The flavors were spot-on, and I couldn't get enough of their signature dishes. The menu offers a fantastic variety, and I appreciate that they prioritize freshly made food. Here's where my experience took a turn. After placing our orders, a friendly staff member informed us that our food would take twenty minutes because it was being freshly prepared. While I appreciate the commitment to freshness, it became frustrating when, after 30 minutes, our food still hadn't arrived. The most disappointing part was that we could see our food ready but unattended on the counter. Despite the restaurant not being particularly crowded, the staff seemed preoccupied with casual chatter among themselves. As a customer, it's disheartening to watch your meal sit untouched while staff members appear oblivious to the fact that it's ready to be served. In an otherwise pleasant afternoon, this service lapse cast a shadow over what could have been a great dining experience. Nando's, I adore your food, but please, let's work on the service aspect to ensure your customers don't leave with a sour taste in their mouths. "Greeted very oddly by a lady at the door. After being seated the same lady took our orders and was being very rude by showing her impatience by tutting and rolling her eyes when we were ordering but seemed to be quite patient when dealing with other customers. My cutlery still had a piece of food on it and so did those of the people sitting with me . After inspecting one set of our cutlery , she says this is not dirty and gives the cutlery back to one of my party. She then came to our table to replace our nearly burnt out candle and swaps our candle with the one from the table behind which was also nearly burnt out. To my horror, she comes back with fresh new candle and uses our little candle to light the new candle which she gives to the table behind us. Whilst we are eating our meal, she comes back with yet another candle that she uses our candle to light AGAIN. She then comes back to ask us if everything is okay with our meal, to which a person from my party says that her cocktail is very diluted. The waitress proceeds to say I 'm talking about the pizza and completely dismisses the issue with the drink. I am so disgusted by the conduct of that staff member and will never come back. We were very polite and stayed that way even after the poor treatment. Evidently we didn 't pay service charge and I will be making a formal complaint as this is not acceptable at all. I can understand if I or anyone in my party was rude/disrespectful, but this was not the case. She clearly did not want to welcome us here."

"I had wanted to check this place out for a little while so I decided to check it out today. In terms of staff, the employee taking my order clearly didn't want to be there and was ready for bed by, which to be honest I don't usually mind as long as there is no problem with the food. However, it was quite annoying that she didn't provide the whipped cream that I'd asked for on my hot chocolate (but oh well my thighs will thank me). But on the contrary, the employee bringing the food to my table was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Back to the hot chocolate, I don't know what it was exactly because on paper it was great, it was smooth and creamy with a generous portion and tasted as though it contained real chocolate and not simply power. Yet, it just wasn't all that great for some reason and I can't put my finger on the reason, I actually considered not finishing it but I hate wasting food so down the hatch it went. As for the Belgian chocolate waffle, this was great, freshly made and drizzled with both milk and white chocolate, it was delightfully tasty with a crisp exterior and a slight chew to the centre. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which I was pleasantly surprised to see visible real vanilla pod specks in. The ice cream was very rich and creamy, which complemented the waffle well. The waffle and hot chocolate came to an affordable £5 which I feel is very reasonable for a dessert parlour. I will be sure to visit again, most likely to sample the crêpes."

"I was ‘hired’ here a couple months back. The lack of documents i had to fill was my first insight into the sketchiness of this place. As someone who’s previously worked in an ice-cream parlour that holds itself to much higher standards, it was easy to spot the red flags from behind the counter. Firstly, the high prices for stingyly-made products. For all items that you can get toppings on, we were told to count them and would get in trouble for giving a customer more than the allocated number. Four Ferrero rochers on a massive £10+ Ferrero rocher waffle was a sad sight. Limited chocolate drizzle. This is just one of plenty of examples. Second was the cleanliness. No gloves, no hair nets nor hats. No wonder people keep finding hair in their food. Third and most frustrating to me was the management. They take bad management to another level. Condescending, unhelpful, unresponsive is how i would describe in in 3 words. None of my questions were answered, i was treated like a child and I wasn’t even told that I wouldn’t be getting shifts for the quiet period, they left my queries on this unanswered for days at a time during a time when I desperately needed to work just to be able to eat. I haven’t been contacted back in over two months so i assume i have been fired? Not that they ever gave me a reason as to why. All i know is that a coworker once told me ‘sometimes if they don’t like a person they’ll just stop giving them shifts without saying anything’. I don’t recommend coming here, honestly you can make everything they do here just as easily at home, or go somewhere that doesn’t treat it’s new staff members so poorly. That being said I also don’t recommend working here. It was the biggest waste of my time when i could have been looking for other jobs they strung me along for no reason. Also the lady who was supposed to be training me spent the whole 4 hours on tiktok. Genuinely what."
