"I visited this restaurant with a friend who is an Oxford graduate student and cultural explorer, in order to experience modern British cuisine. It was a very interesting and enjoyable experience. The ambiance was a blend of farmhouse and modern pub, giving it a fresh and inviting feel. The food was a modern take on traditional British ingredients, resulting in excellent flavors. I particularly enjoyed the braised lamb, which was the best lamb dish I have ever had. Our server was friendly and told us an entertaining story, although the host seemed unwelcoming. The restaurant changes its menu daily, adding excitement for return visits. This restaurant is great for Americans seeking a unique British dining experience and for reunions. It has potential for third dates and appeals to food critics. However, it may not be ideal for first dates, break ups, large families, children, exotic pets, or tourists seeking a typical tourist experience."
