"This was my 3rd visit post lockdown and the experience was as consistent as ever. From the first greeting at the door, to the young waiters, the service is seamless and understated so you can just enjoy your dinner and conversation. Never feel rushed or by the same token, ignored. "Every time we visit this restaurant, the food is always amazing and we will definitely be coming back again. The Pad Thai is incredibly delicious and there are so many choices on the menu. "Visited this restaurant last night. It was quite busy with a large party, but the restaurant was no where near full capacity. I waited for over an hour to be served any food. When I eventually asked where my food was the waitress said that it hadn't even been cooked yet. It was 9:30 and we were starving so had to walk out of the restaurant! Never in my life have I had to do that. Very poorly organised restaurant, which is a shame as there is clearly a demand for this type of restaurant in the area. Sort it out Ting Tong. Very disappointed customer."

"Tasty fresh and spicy food. We ordered from the Thai menu and was not disappointed. Delicious Thai starters with ribs, satay, vegetable roll and fish cakes. The only disappointing thing were the fish cakes which didn’t seem to have much fish in them. This was only a very small part of our meal. There were lots of chillis in our main dish Penang chicken but not too many for us. Service was quick and efficient. Reasonable prices- nice ambiance."

"A real Thai food. I would recommend the fruity pineapple rice as they mix fry the rice so well that the rice can really bring the scent of pineapple exciting your taste buds. The easy-to-make garlic sauce vegetable is unexpectedly great, having every vegetable provided cooked to a perfect condition! Ahh the size is also of a good size! One dish is above an average Asian appetite!"

"I was in thai express a few times. it is not spectacular, but it is good enough (and convenient enough! that I go back and I have a loyalty card. it is easy to choose a dish (which with a lot of sauces, or a noodle dish, choose a protein and choose a level of heat. they then cook it fresh for them. When they take away, they put it in a charming little carry box. I am a sucker for good presentation. eating is decent. it takes fresh and is well cooked. I find a lot of sauces no matter what is disappointing. not exactly authentic Thai food, but it makes a decent lunch. and in portions are good. Maybe something overpriced for what it is."

"My only words for this restaurant are “not bad” the food is alright and the service is not bad, although the atmosphere is nice they messed up 2 of our orders! The food was good, but lacked flavour, but the drinks were great, for pricing it’s not bad at all and a wonderful place to bring your friends for some mid week Thai food. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick bite. As for COVID precautions, they offer hand sanitiser, although the servers do not wear masks it is still a nice experience!"

"What an amazing place to eat in Glasgow City centre.. We wanted to come here on the Friday but sadly it was fully booked. Now we can see why, we went back on Sunday and 2000's Mamak did not dissapoint! The staff were so welcoming from start to finish. We went for the platter for 2, there was a good selection to choose from, and the food was amazing. Real home cooked food, so tasty even now my mouth is watering just thinking about it) the portion sizes shocked both me and my partner, we really did not expect all that food for less than £27, there was even soup within the platter for 2. We explained that we were visiting for the weekend for my partners birthday and the staff brought him cake and all sang happy birthday which was so lovely. This restaurant really did finish of our weekend away perfectly.. the only down side is we won't get to have more of this amazing food until we visit Glasgow again. We highly recommend 2000's Mamak."

"the three of us came and were greeted by very cheerful co-workers who showed us on our table. Drinks and nibbles arrived and we put our commands with very pleasant and helpful sever, and our food came and return diners were not disappointed by. eating that was as usual first class, my daughter is vegetarian and was very satisfied with the variety and choice of vegetarian meals. the only side of the visit was the excessive noise of nearby diners, which prevented our party from conducting a simple decent talk and finally abandoning our meal as soon as we could and leave. it was a shame to overthrow a really first-class meal, but it made us a bit understandable to return for future meal. many thanks for a really good meal."

"Clifton Thai are really consistent and best enjoyed by sticking to authentic Thai dishes rather than the more westernised tempura dishes. The Butterfly King Prawn Tom Yum is just an incredible starter. The stock used in the soup is so packed with flavour, and the king prawns are incredibly succulent. Probably my only criticism is that there’s an odd number of prawns in a soup designed to be shared for two which makes it harder to split given they are “shell on”. The Green Thai curry and chicken cashew dishes were both also great, particularly the former which is packed with flavour and, if you ask for it hot, comes with a great spicy kick. Service is always prompt and polite and make it a very pleasant experience."

"eating at the jino is always beautiful and the new unit (the old cinema entrance is very clean and welcoming. Mixed-style bathroom were immaculately clean and the server was welcoming, casual and definitiw helped with the comfortable, unthreatening feeling of the restaurant. "I was looking forward to eating in. I took my twins with me. We order beef soup and prawns with noodles. Absolutely not what I expected. Raw prawns came. My boy asked me if the prawns are meant to pink when cooked. Seriously a disgrace to the chef. Soup was beef cube not homemade broth. Seriously train your staff, front of house server was not bother about it. As he lost all interest. Never again not even if it was free."
