"I have been coming to the lodge for many years, and I’m not sure what has happened! It used to be a peaceful, warm and welcoming experience however recently it’s been anything but. I visited during the Christmas Fayre and the meals was rushed and...placed in front of us before I even had time to remove my coat, when I asked the manager if we could wait a minute for our food and get some drinks first, she simply huffed and walked away shouting and swearing into the kitchen and at the young staff members. I assumed it may have been an off day since previous visits where lovely however after visiting again after Christmas and in the new year, the service received has been nothing but rude and unwelcoming and the food itself is no longer great either, with it the mash tasting like instant mash and the kids meals look like they’ve come straight from a box. If you want a peaceful night with good food go anywhere but here."
