"We arrived at 19.30 as booked on the Saturday before Christmas. We were taken to the table, given menus and asked what we would like to drink. We chose an Australian Chardonnay from a selection of four or five whites. When the wine arrived we were asked what we would like to order to be told that there was no fish and no steak. Both of which would have been choices for my family. So the choice was burgers or pasta. We considered leaving but decided to stay. It took over an hour for the food to arrive, even though the restaurant was not busy, so we needed another bottle of wine: none left only Sauvignon Blanc. When the food did arrive in fairness it was hot and tasty, the service was from a very tired waitress who tried to be helpful. But none of us actually hate what we would have had as a first choice. So sorry to the restaurant but no recommendation from me."

"I was sheepish about going here having seen some bad reviews, but was very happily surprised! The Ultimate Burger I had was delicious and the Raspberry Ripple Tripple sundae was one of the best I've ever had. The service was fine, but it was also quite empty, so I don't know what it would be like on a busy Saturday or Sunday evening. However, I can only judge by the night I was there and it was a five star evening"

"Enjoyed a salad each with a small pizza to share. All helped down with a couple of their Old Golden Hen beers lovely. We sat outside on the balcony on a table where we both looked directly over the dock and activity in the marina excellent surroundings on a warm summers' evening. Will definitely visit again. Service great too."

"The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delightful and made fresh to order. The chef even comes out to ensure that everything is satisfactory with your meal. The homemade pizzas offer great value for money. I would highly recommend this place!"

"What a wonderful hidden gem, a quaint little pub, with so many alcoves and nooks of olden times to be found. Comfy seating, sofas around a open fireplace, and great outside seating too. Plus the added bogarts lounge upstairs too. Our first time here and certainly won't be our last. Very friendly,welcoming place to be."

"amazing eating, great menu, all fresh ingredients and the staff are all great. I have thought out where I get healthy eating on the way and I have noticed almost all the take fast eating that they get is just müll, no vitamins or minerals, which always and after long hard days at uni or work they want to get a bit quick and easy when they choose fast eating there is a probability that it will be a cycle to mash through their body and how mixed and so on. I feel they'll be big in five years."
