"We liked the size of table and its situation; often tables can be huge and it is difficult to hear people speak. The staff were attentive but not overly so perfect combination. Everyone enjoyed the selection on the menu though the restaurant is called Neptune so we were expecting a wider range of fish, than just oysters, fish and chips and a trout. The food was tasty and different. My crab with semolina 'crisp ' bread was very good, but sadly there was no Chef 's specials to make it feel more fresh for the day and showing off the Chef 's capabilities. Some of our table were dry January, this kept the bill down so the meal was good value. Our one criticism were the ridiculously large and cumbersome menu sheets trying to be a Pizza Hut when it blantantly isn 't. I feel the restaurant is aiming to be a mix of styles : a smart burger bar, specialist oyster bar, family restaurant or class dining with a sommelier. To some degree this worked, we felt at ease and comfortable but the wine list could have mirrored more the price of the menu with some alternative good but cheaper wines. Thank you"
