"Their burgers are excellent, possibly the best in Brighton, but whilst they use Just Eats for their delivery partners the service is appalling. I ordered delivery Smashburgers many times when they were delivered by Deliveroo and never had a problem. On two of the four or five occasions I have ordered delivery burgers since they switched to Just Eats they have delivered the wrong order. Last night was exceptionally bad. When I realised we had been given the wrong delivery I called Smashburger and they confirmed the rider had picked up the wrong bag but assured me my order would be delivered shortly. Twenty minutes later I called again and Conor told me that I would not be getting my order as Just Eats had refused to deliver it. Thanks for the warning Conor. Lucky I called as I could have been waiting longer. Conor told me that I should use the Just Eats app to ask for a refund, which I have. I think in the circumstances Conor and his team should hastily find another way of delivering their food, maybe a taxi at their expense?.. rather than leaving their customers hanging. I shall endeavour to contact the management of Smashburger in the week for a constructive chat. Whilst they continue to use Just Eats as their delivery partner I will be a very reluctant customer."
