"I reapplied online for year old sons passport renewal on and we are flying on Dec and I can't say enough good things about this Passport Office as when I called to explain the situation they pulled out all the stops for us as it arrived today ! Had to appoint a digital referee which was a bit of an issue but what I've learnt is instead of waiting for updates and sitting for hours on the automated phone system from the Passport office dealing with your application you can just go on You Gov Passport website and enter your details and codes as soon as they receive your application and it's a much more efficient way of having eyes on especially if your flying out soon ? So I would advise you that monitor the online Passport tracking service as that's what made me aware of the issues that was holding up the process"
