"Visited Stoke Place for an afternoon tea n the King and Lamb restaurant with my husband. The food was nice and the staff were very friendly and professional. It was a very cold day for August so too cold to walk around the grounds wasnt wearing a coat. The restaurant was very different from the images shown on the website! I wouldn't say it was a purpose build restaurant just a dinning room. I dressed up as the king and lamb resturant looked quite up market. I felt very overdressed as all the other guests apart from one table were wearing shorts, t shirts and trainers!! I even overheard the group of girls saying that they had worn the wrong outfits Haha! It was for aftetnoon tea including service charge. I would of liked the offer of more sandwiches as pefer to lots of cakes but I know this option is not standard everywhere. The host was really friendly and quite funny to. He told us some history about tea. Overall I thought afternoon tea was very good"
