"we arrived 1:30pn on saturday for late lunch. the place was almost empty. we orderd small fish and chips, burger, steak pie and mixed grill. the meals were tasty. fishes were fresh and the burger was juicy. there was plenty meat in steak pie. the mixed grill was good. one small thing that needed to be improved, was the chips that needed to be crispy. "We didn't stay overnight, we had a wake there, unfortunately they did not provide the agreed amount of food, which ment people who had travelled for a few hours went away without food, the service was not good either. I did complain and they agreed on a partial refund, however, I feel given the level of the food/service for such an important thing that we can never redo properly it should have been a full refund"

"A very welcoming Bar/restaurant in a beautiful location with easy access. There is a lovely selection of foods and drinks available that are very reasonably priced. The tables are set far enough apart for you to have your privacy and leave enough room for wheelchair and mobility access. The staff are warm and welcoming, they can't do enough for you. It is very clean and well maintained. You will also find a variety of social activities here from live bands, weekly quizzes and events such as a Halloween party which is upcoming!! "We had been visiting The Grey Horses for about a year each week and were happy to pay for the average and expensive food as it is the only pub in the village serving food. The staff were previously quite friendly and efficient. The owner/manager started to do the waiting on and that is when things changed. He was rude, unfriendly and very unwelcoming the last few times we were in. The food which was previously ok now left a bad taste…. Please avoid- unless you fit in with the local clique"
