Great selection of dishes, there was 5 of us and we all enjoyed our chosen dishes. Only minor moan, food could have been hotter, the horseradish sauce punchier and hot custard with the crumble. But delicious all the same.

The staff were all super helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful and the afternoon tea was delicious, the scones were fresh and warm and possibly the best we've ever had. Would definitely go back.

We had a lovely evening out with my elderly mother. Her first meal out since this all began. Staff were spot on, attentive but with minimal contact with the table. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Would recommend. View menu

The restaurant boasts a beautiful setting and offers well-prepared food with a diverse menu. Although the waitstaff appeared somewhat inexperienced and initially forgot our drinks, the meal service was prompt, with no delays between courses.

This is likely one of the best restaurants in Woodstock, but our meal was quite average and not very enjoyable. Given our experience and the many other dining options in Woodstock, it may be a long time before my family and I decide to return.

On arrival very poor service, fire very low therefore no warmth and NO Pino Gregio white wine! Service counter half full of ‘dirties’. Lunch poor, had to ask for horseradish and to pay £30 for a 2 course meal where the vegetables already on the plate is a clear error in what is described as a ‘top’ restaurant. View menu

Varied menu meant something for everyone. I choose fish and chips. Lovely light crust batter. Good size portion. Lovely chips and homemade tartare. Hubby chose terrine followed by rib eye which he loved. We shared the mousse after. Highlights I couldn’t eat butter so I was brought some truffle oil to dunk my bread in yummy! We were a bit chilly from earlier and we’re given a choice of tables we were offered one by the radiator which was turned on especially for us. Great service. Service generally was spot on attentive without too frequent. A lovely evening in an amazing 13th century building.

The service and communication at the restaurant were quite disorganized. We waited a long time for our table and experienced delays between courses and in receiving our orders. We had to ask three times for our sparkling water. There seemed to be a lot of confusion and uncertainty regarding the menu. When I made the reservation, I had requested a copy of the menu to be sent via email, but that request was overlooked. On a positive note, the food was good, and the desserts were excellent. The staff were friendly and polite, but the lack of organization and trust made it challenging to fully enjoy our evening, as we spent so much time trying to get their attention.

well.its false advertising..outside the front door and on their website it state eat out to help out ...50% off...but when the bill came £149.00 only £20 was taken off. At no point were we told or shown this This is decieving .Food was prepared to a high standard...still feel miffed at being in the dark...I see other dinners surprised as well. .
