"Whatever you're doing, don't sit down until you order the type of meal and pay it. This, apparently, will not do the thing. As far as I know, with my French still rusty, your choice will always involve the self-service buffet. We chose the complete and the children's menus. after we paid, we sat down and our drinks were brought to us. That's when the order of hot dishes was taken. the choice was on a black board above the bar. Then we filled the buffet too much before the arrival of the tasty main dishes. After the main dishes, we still filled with self-service pud. all this has been watered from a few cider cruches at a very reasonable price. in a very good value for money and a few steps from the first-class hotel limoges north and a b"

equivalent to a British transport coffee but not full English but an excellent kitchen the buffet for 11th is a good deal not a good kitchen but certainly worth the detour

For €11.50 per head we had an excellent cold buffet. The food was well presented, plentiful, fresh, and varied. Eat as much as you like including a cheeseboard and desert choice. Tremendous.

don't let yourself get away with the look of the transport coffee. best value for food at lunch time. Always crowded with workers, aim to go there for noon. Generally, choice of 3 main dishes plus as many entries and desserts as you can. it is not a refined cuisine but a good value for money in the old

We fell on this place when we left and as there were only 12 euros for three dishes, we tried. it turned out to be an entrance and dessert buffet and the waitress brought the main meal. It was next to a truck park, so there were a lot of drivers, hence the big main meal. food was good and we sat at the corner of the street away from the drivers watching TV.

I just had dinner and I was very pleasantly surprised. the choice of salads and desserts and cheeses buffet was excellent. then a choice of 3 main dishes. I got the pork and it was delicious. My husband had the fish that, according to him, was also delicious. The little waitress was a star, she never stopped so much the place was climbing. A great little worker. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little gem. Calling him a transport café is a bit humiliating. You can keep your refined cuisine, I'd eat there with pleasure at any time.

Staying in a hotel in this industrial estate we made the tour of the various eateries. Most were chains and had only maybe 10 people in each. This one was full of truck drivers (always a good recommendation . So we went in. 13€ buys you buffet starter, main course, buffet cheese and desserts. Small jug of wine (2 glasses 50c (yes less than 1€ . Lots of fresh salads and cold meats including roast beef and chicken to start with. Choice of 3 mains, fish, porc or lamb chops. I got three good thick lamb chops. May the best I have ever had. Obviously this is no Michelin Star but wow, good healthy options, or burgers and steaks. All served with a smile. Wonderful place. I

What ever you do, do not sit down until you have ordered the type of meal and paid for it. This, apparently, will not do. As far as I could tell, with my ever rusting French, Your choice will always involve the self service buffet. We went for the Complet and the childrens menus. After paying, we sat down and our drinks brought to us. Which is when the order for hot food was taken. The choice was on a chalk board above the bar. Then we over stuffed on the buffet before the tasty mains arrived. After mains we over stuffed again on self service pud. This was all washed down with a few, very reasonable priced, jugs of cider. All-in-all very good value and a very short walk from the Premiere Cla...

"Only just of the beaten track which makes parking much easier! This restaurant is expensive in relation to others but is good value considering the quality and service. The menu takes a bit of working out as prices for steak are quoted by weight (multiples of 100gms) and the minimum weight you can order is also stated. To make matters more complicated you can also chose how many weeks the meat has been matured for. Whether you choose Classic or 4 week mature, the quality is all good and extremely well cooked. Even meat cooked very rare is melting. This is a "proper" steak restaurant so make sure you go for the steak. There are fixed price menus but I would keep it simple. Steak, chips with its side of vegetables. Pork and lamb is also available and there is a concession to non-meat eaters in the form of a mushroom omelette. I am sure it is delicious ......Wine is also priced at the top end and excellent. . House wine is also very acceptable.Whenever we have visited the clientele have been all French from the professional classes who are there to see and be seen. Its fascinating ! One little niggle. At the price, the amuse bouche could have been more exciting than a thin slice of fairly mundane salami with a chunk of bread. For faux filet (250 gms) and a large entrecote steak (450 gms) , with a bottle of AC Beaujolais the bill will be around 70 Euros. A starter and pud could increase that by at least 20 Euros. Nevertheless, recommended for the quality, service and ambience. The staff are really charming."
