"After our first visit some weeks prior we were greatly looking forward to a family outing..in Martel..Our first visit ticked all the boxes one might say. I ordered the pave du thon and after my first mouthful found it so very salty it was inedible......Not wishing to draw attention I left the table and approached the young waiter and had a quiet word ...I waited having asked the young waiter to let the chef know my dilemma....after a while it seemed clear no apology or the offer of a less salty dish was offered..When it came to paying the bill an attempt at an apology was made, however my general impression was that perhaps the staff were inexperienced... Not even a reduction for a meal that was hardly touched-guess we wont be going back ..such a shame"

We visit this restaurant on a regular base and will be doing so. Very good quality/price relation. Good quality, variation possible for a low price! Friendly.

Only for a diner, courses, is amazing. And wine is included, pichet of liter. Each course you can still choose. Always good combinations possible Friendly staff, fine view. View menu

Each course or possiblities, courses in total for only €, incl wine. Sometimes quite surprising, The kitchen has to be innovative for this achievement! Nice view, friendly people!

The waiter was very attentive.I had the veal with the sauce from another main course which was all VERY tasty. My desert was the star of the show. Every spoonful was delicious. We left pleasantly full, but not too much so.

We ate plate de jour, so this review should only be judged on that. For about each, we were served the typical course lunch menu. The food looked interesting, but wasn't extremely good. However, most of the restaurants in Martel are average to...poor, so I would rate this as one of the better ones. Staff was very nice, and there is somewhat of a view. If in Martel, I would recommend this one. View menu

We live locally and yet had not, until now, tried out this restaurant. Perhaps because it is away from the centre of Martel. My wife and I had a delicious Sunday lunch in early October. It was still warm enough to sit out on the terrace....Unfortunately the view, though extensive, is blighted by the village's hideous retirement home. No matter, just sit with your back to it! The service was slow but that may have been because there was a very large group of people eating inside. The summer menu was still on offer for an entree and plat, for three courses. Good value.

We were just passing through Martel on our way down to Narjac and came across this excellent auberge on the edge of town. The euro plat du jour which included a glass of very acceptable wine was great value. For each course there was...a choice of two dishes, In my case I went for a goats cheese and potato tart, a duck crumble (comfort food at its absolute best) and a pear and chocolate dessert, In warm weather there is a lovely outdoor seating area but on this occasion we sat inside on a glazed terrace. The restaurant seems to be popular with locals (always a good sign) and service was both friendly and attentive. Would definitely return on our next visit to this area!
