"Went to Banana island recently. I ordered peppered turkey, chips and Fanta. The atmosphere is beautiful, lovely decor and peaceful until one silly boy came in the restaurant after looking for trouble. He made everyone scared, he was looking for a knife and was threatening to stab the two guys he was fighting with. It ruined the whole eating experience, I was so scared and so was everyone in the restaurant. Eventually the police and ambulance came around. They took their sweet time but thankfully no one was stabbed. Only a minor injury. I have to say thank you to the waiter, she was very polite while the whole thing was going on. She made sure I and the person I was with was okay. She also apologised for the whole thing even though it wasn’t her fault. The food was good. As I said before, I didn’t get to fully enjoy the food because of what was going on. I loved the Fanta. Can’t ever go wrong with Fanta. Wanted to chill for a bit after the whole incident but was told that they were closing early because of the whole thing which was understandable. Will definitely be back. Once again, thank you to the staff"

It took forever to serve the food, it took more than An hour before jollof rice can be served

I had the jollof rice, plantains, and goat in pepper sauce, and it was absolutely delicious! The portions were quite generous. I will definitely be returning!

First time, I bought egusi and yam for take away. The food is nice, but for £14.99 the portions is a letdown, it should be a bit bigger. I think some improvements should be made

My partner mentioned that it was the best Nigerian takeout he has had in a long time. While he found it a bit pricey for the portion size, he really enjoyed the egusi soup and goat meat.

Palatable selection of Nigerian cuisine. Ensure you try it if visiting South London. They can definitely improve on their portions though, especially their wraps of poundo yam, eba and amala

The food was good, although it could have been warmer when it arrived at my table. I appreciated having plenty to take home for the next day. The service was excellent; however, since we were the only customers there and there was no music playing, the atmosphere felt a bit bare.

I'd give it 10 star if i could we went there wednesday evening got a humongous grilled fish what great portions they provide and i got jollof rice i hadn't had jollof rice in ages and it tasted so good was so glad i had it the fish was for mother thanks so much for making her happy she was so happy i guess including how huge the fish was they threw in a portion of plantain and a good sized pot of tomato sauce with sliced peppers to mix with the rice and fish thanks again great food great staff good price

The stew had a great deal of sugar inside of it which made the sauce overly sweet for a Nigerian stew. Tasted very unauthentic for Nigerian cuisine. The portion size for the suya which amounted to 15 pounds per portion was a right rip off. Overall, very unimpressed in all honesty and will not reorder mainly due to the 15 pounds tiny portion of Suya if anything. This get rich quick scheme by bumping up food prices sky high for mediocre food is not realistic. Real customers will always give genuine feedback if the quality and quantity of the food is not worth the cost, so please be realistic.

Am very confused by the positive ratings maybe I shouldn’t have chosen the goat meat. But I ordered tonight through Uber eats and the jollof rice was the only vaguely edible thing. The “goat” was basically a pot of cartilage, bone and dregs of tough dry meat (see photo 2; the pot on the right contained the pile of bones on the left that’s AFTER I had tried to extract anything edible from them). And it was accompanied by what can only be described as a big ball of raw bread dough (see photo 1). I hate saying this about what I assume is someone’s family business but I’m afraid that was probably the single worst takeaway I have had in London in 10 years.
