"Lunch with very old friends. A very satisfactory place to meet. The à la carte menu had some delights and some disappointing dishes, you had to choose wisely.. It wasn’t the cooking which was very satisfactory but little things .. The escargot tongs which can be awkward at the best of times were the most slippery I’ve ever encountered the shells wobbled about in its jaws making the the extraction of the meat frustrating. The main course had some surprises only 6 langoustine scampi were on offer yet the sole meunière would be sufficient for two ie one dish a mouthful the other a feast..The pommel frites were excellent as was the tomato salad .As for the sweet the raspberry and elderflower trifle was a strange concoction lacking the elderflower . It looked like a cake, a trifle should be in a glass dish. It was the last day of the Christmas menu and none of these dishes will be the same in the coming days.i regret the absence of table cloths but I suppose Bistro allows this to happen.these days. Inspite of these niggles I would come again and hope the Parking would be clear and simple."

It's not a Michelin-star restaurant, but the food is delicious. However, I don't think it's fair to charge extra for certain items. Overall, I find it overpriced.

Had brunch in the lounge bar. Very good service, and went down a treat. Reception were very helpful in requesting us a taxi. Not too keen on some members of staff wearing Jeans considering it's a luxury hotel.

I visited Tunbridge Wells for some business meetings and stayed at Hotel du Vin, a charming class II listed building dating back to 1762. It reminded me of the delicious Big Bdw burger I once had at Totro in London, which has unfortunately since closed down.

"Firstly I would like to say that this restaurant has just been refurbished, and it didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant, more like a cafe at the beach somewhere! It felt very sparse and most Italian restaurants I e been to have proper tablecloths on the table but these were plastic and I noticed one table it was tapped up underneath, in my opinion it needs to be made more warmly and have more of a family feel. The food was really nice, although I would advise anyone to make sure they double check their order as I chose chicken in a sauce really nice which came with vegetables but I also asked for a separate portion of potatoes, when it arrived I just had chicken with a few cut up potatoes and a very very small garnish of salad ! I mentioned this to the waitress who had taken our order and she said I know but the chef had given you extra salad !! Sorry but salad is not vegetables , it clearly said on the menu it came with vegetables. Having said about the above issue, the meals we all had were nice and the staff gave us a very warm welcome and because of the blip they said we could have a free pudding…..not sure if we all did or it was just mine but I never see the bill as we were treated to this. To finish the evening off we were given a lovely limoncello shot. We would definitely go back. Thankyou for a lovely evening in your restaurant"
