"Had a 2 1/2 hour stopover in Madrid at Atocha this Sunday . Found this place close to some luggage lockers. It was busy and buzzing but the manager was so charming and attentive- he found us a table and helped adjust our order when he thought we’d ordered too much. The food was absolutely delicious! As was the wine and vermut. Highly recommended."

The croquetas are brilliant, a tomato salad had really good tomatoes, excellent morcilla and the Madrid region and Valdepenas wines were exemplary. We plan to return in 2 or 3 days.

The food was excellent. Try the croquettes, the cod with garlic and olive oil, and of course the calamari. Let them help you select a wonderful wine. A place of locals, and great food.
