"Let’s start from scratch; I had my wedding reception here in 1988. Since then, The Brew House has changed hands a million times and passed through numerous quality cycles. In 2019 it’s currently run by Searcys and definitely on a ‘downer’. Many of the reviews here say it all; ‘poor service’, ‘cold food’ and ‘unloved’ – set against the gorgeous backdrop of Kenwood House. How can a café that used to serve the best carrot cake on the planet be reduced to little more than a canteen for mass catering? The answer is simple; you have a captive clientele that on a sunny day creates a café with ‘standing room only’ for the price of a small house. Yes, it’s not cheap either. I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. The cooked food is low-ish quality and often stewed for hours. As I said, in another review, you can judge a café on the quality of its sausage. Scrimp on the pork and you’ll lose my custom. The Brew House ‘sausage and mash’ is extremely average and proves my point. On the plus side, it’s slightly better than the cafés in the Royal Parks (Hyde and Regent’s) but damning with faint praise is hardly a recommendation."

This place is closed! Being refurbished and reopens end February. There are a few food trucks outside instead. There were no signs at all stating it. Well done English Heritage...

The coffee was not good. I ordered a flat white but received a milky, foamy drink instead. The vegan chocolate cake was extremely dry. Additionally, there was a very long line at the restaurant.

The interior of the Brew House Cafe looks great and works better than before. It is easier to navigate and you reach the box faster. The seating area has short dividing walls with plants that make the space much more cozy and quiet. The selection of drinks and cakes for breakfast or tea is good.

The food was fine, but the service was terrible! The staff was rude and was not interested in providing a good service. I thought it was one or two employees, but this is because of mismanagement: the manager was rude and the staff too. I know others also felt it when the table next door said the same thing.

This café is set to the side of Kenwood House. It was very busy...and we had difficulty find a space. Also many tables had not been cleared! We chose a simple lunch of quiche and sausage roll with lovely salads and nice dressing. Both were very tasty. Water was self served from large water fountains well flavoured with Lemon, cucumber and plain....very tasty too. When we finished we carried our dirty trays trying to find somewhere to place them....none of the staff ventured to assist! We left with a feeling of not really being cared for.....what a shame.Strong and observant supervision is needed!

I visited Kenwood today and was looking forward to a light lunch . The cafe had been refurbished during the COVID lockdown and I was shocked about what was offered compared with what it was like before the refurbishment.. No, freshly cooked lunches just a couple of choices of very unappetising choices which looked as if they had been sitting there for quite a while. One offering was a tiny piece of salmon with a bit of side salad in a box costing over £11 !! Not what I would call value for money even if it had been freshly cooked. What a disappointment. It used to be a fantastic cafe with freshly cooked tasty food . I'll remember to bring a picnic next time !

I recently dined at the Brew House on a lovely sunny day, and to my disappointment, the experience was less than desirable. The food was served cold and dry, and the service was rude and apathetic. The tables were left uncleared, and the odor from the nearby bathrooms was quite off-putting. As I sat in the beautiful gardens, I could hear the kitchen staff arguing loudly. The dishes were prepared carelessly and served without regard for the customers. It's unfortunate to see how much the quality has declined compared to years ago, when the food was excellent, the staff attentive, and the facilities clean. It's clear that the Brew House is in need of new management and a change in direction.

A great place in the stunning Hampstead Heath park.It is the ideal place if you need a break from the chaotic and challenging London environment. The coffee is quite large and offers many indoor and outdoor seats. You can sit alone for tea or lunch. The self-service coffee offers good comforting food options and can also find something vegan. The food we had was very good and the portions are great. You also serve with water, covered, etc. and choose the table you prefer.Despite being connected to the Keenwood House, it is not a formal place and you really feel comfortable and relaxed. If you can sit in the outdoor area, you will enjoy it to the fullest.During spring and summer it is an amaz...

I always make a point to stop here with my dog when I stroll along the river. Sometimes the lines are long, especially on Sundays, but they actually move pretty quickly. The Sunday roast may be a bit pricey at 15 pounds, but it's on par with most pub lunches and is incredibly tasty. The vegetables are amazing, though the roasted potatoes can be hit or miss. Everything is well-seasoned though. Outdoor seating can be tough to grab on a nice day, but if it's popular, there's usually a good reason. Make sure to secure a table and tie up your dog before you order, so you don't risk your food getting cold. Avoid sitting near the bins in the summer if you don't want to be bothered by wasps. The ind...
