"we stopped here to be honest, it was the only restaurant that was not closed by 1:50 clock. the menu was expensive and I think we had eaten in mont st michel ourselves for the same prices. the ambiente des ortes was more. a diner, with plastic chairs and tables. it is also huge inside. the meal itself was not great, not up to the usual French restaurants kitchen and certainly not worth the prices they charge. I wouldn't be in a hurry to come back. nourriture pas bonne, très chère."

We stopped here each day on our visit to MSM. Lots of different croissants to choose from and the baguette sandwiches were good. Great prices too.

i always have breakfast with flan coco at the brioche doreè when in france. the one next to the mount saint michel was open from nine in the morning.

they can stop here to get snacks or lunches before they catch the bus to the abtei. it was conveniently located and fast. just a great lunch. it's good. View menu

We had our breakfast here, great raspberry tart and ham and cheese sandwich and good coffee, it shares a building with a supermarket where you can buy some souvenirs and food. Like it!

I don't know how they manage to be the only place that doesn't have a set menu in this town, but by golly they did it. Food is really good and the employees are really nice people. 9/10 good stop.

The Brioche Doree cafe is a good place to grab a bite to eat before or after your trip to the abbey. It is conveniently located on the main street at the end of town where you catch the tram out to the island. View menu

It was the only place open for lunch at 3pm. We ordered the Provençal menu and it was so good! We got a flan, chocolate tart, & strawberry tart for dessert. Drinks included. It was so good & fast! Which was perfect so we had more time to continue exploring France. Long lunches can be great but this place gets you fed & leaving happy, quickly.

We took 9:40 bus in the morning from Rennes. The bus arrived 10 to 11. We tried to have lunch in one of the nearest restaurants, but most of them were not open yet. Brioche Doree was only restaurant open at the moment, so we didn't have a choice. However, The sandwich was quite good, and good enough to make energy to walk to Mont-Saint-Michel.
