"Each time I go to Berlin I can't miss a visit to this nice cafeteria. I like the quiet atmosphere of the place, the old fashioned deco, the comfortable armchairs and sofas, the friendly and polite waiters and waitresses. They serve breakfast and little lunch menus with a wide range of teas and coffee (a real espresso) including beers and other drinks. But the most important reason to go there is to taste all of their wonderful homemade cakes, baked and served all day long. My favorite one is the Eierlikörtorte, don't miss it!"

Bad, boring food. Irritated layers because we had no change. Why is this our problem? Senf was moved from table to table, bad idea in Times of covid-19

The place has changed the management. Now is called "Cent'anni" and have similar food and drinks. It is still a good place but not as wonderful as "Brandauer" was.

Popped in with my wife , made very welcome. Good value drinks and food. Everyone seemed happy with service and quality off food .. Not to exciting but sometimes simply things are enough

Pays 4 € for a few mouthful evil prosecco. Flat. No bubble to see. When I asked when the bottle was opened, they said 5 minutes ago. I showed them the evidence. They weren't interested. View menu

We were led here by our guides after a tour through the city. Our group were the only guests and thus we had great privacy. Pizza was good and staff very nice and plentiful. Seating is quite cozy. I have no idea, though, what the name is supposed to mean.

This cafeteria is located between the Museum Island and Hackescher Markt right under the train tracks where other restaurants and bars can be found. It's an amazing place during summer days - you can sit outside and watch the people around. Plus they make a really nice coffee!!

I had a pizza vegetaria in this restaurant. It was good although it would be better if more green added and tomato sauce ( which I think is a basic component of a pizza!)There was a delay, more than expected, till getting my pizza. The service is good. The espresso was good.I visited this restaurant after a tour in Pergamon Museum. When we admitted for drinks, it was said that it was a minimum of €15 for drinks, not even we were told. Many tables around us said it was a fraud. They were all rude and disgusting, claiming it was our fault and that because we are not from Germany. A real bad experience for a beautiful local café. This is the kind of place that for tourists prey only pay and not dispute.

My girlfriend and I actually just stumbled upon this place, and I'm so glad we did! We were looking for a place serving a proper breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the couples breakfast offered here. The bread is delicious, and the breakfast platter full of quality products. The atmosphere is quaint and antique styled but manages to provide a cozy vibe. Staff is very friendly!
