"so kann ein guter abend aussehen. I would like to thank the rapporteur for his work. die Google-Rezensionen hatten uns nicht nur verlockt, die köstliche, sondern vor allem die warme und offene natur des besitzers zu essen, haben uns ein gefühl der begrüßung gegeben. wir werden morgen die köstlichkeiten der karte erkunden. That's how it should be a successful evening. I spontaneously discovered this very good and highly recommended local restaurant on the side of the mountain. Google reviews had drawn us here. nicht only delicious food, but above all the warm and open nature of the owner gave us the feeling of being welcome. tomorrow we will explore the delicacies of the menu a second time."

Upon recommendation by our villa owners (Peralta, Pieve) we walked the mile or so down the steep hill to C'era Una Volta. Fantastic hosts, amazing thin crust authentic pizza and quaffable house wines at affordable prices. The owner even gave us a lift back up hill to our villa at the end of the evening, what a service! Grazie Mille!

Visited here on 3 occasions while we were staying at a nearby villa in Camaiore in September 2020 with my wife and in laws. Don’t let the unassuming facade of the restaurant fool you, the food here is absolutely stunning. During our many visits, I sampled antipasto platters, delicious bruschetta, pasta and meat dishes. The steak here was probably some of the best I’ve tasted. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the restaurant is in a stunning location at the foot of some beautiful Tuscan hills. Please visit if you find yourself near this area. Delicious!!

It‘s a nice little place in „La Pieve“, in the outskirts of Camaiore (a bit above the center). Small street, parking a bit difficult, but it‘s worth the trip if you are in Camaiore and are into honest, authentic Italian food. The pizza is great (try the Calzone), the pasta is very tasty, too, and the (red) house wine is great value for money. Also, the staff is friendly (and they speak English as well). At dinner time the place is often packed with locals, but usually it‘s no problem to get a table (and it‘s also a place for late dinner). We had two nice evenings there and enjoyed it very much.

"The food and the hospitality at this little spot are both spot on. You would be a fool to not visit here at least once during your time in the Tuscan seaside town of Viareggio. Unless you plan to make their dinner service right as they open, be sure to make a reservation in advance as the tiny spot fills up very quickly. From the moment we arrived for our dinner reservation the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and as if we were right at home. As soon as we were settled in, our waiter brought us a small welcome dish from the chef that he described to us a typical Tuscan soup. I don 't know what it was called but it was delicious! For our food, we ordered their tordelli with meat ragu sauce after our waiter informed us it 's a typical type of ravioli in that region. You 'll quickly learn as you travel through Italy that each region and often many towns and cities have their own unique ways of creating their pasta dishes that you can only find in that region. The recommendation was a good one because the dish was delicious! For our main, we ordered the Pork Steak Senese which consisted of pre-cut grilled pork with parmesan and balsmamic and grilled trevisano (a type of leafy green). It didn 't look the most appetizing when it was placed in front of us but looks can be deceiving because it was another delicious dish. To wrap up what was already an enjoyable meal, when our waiter brought our bill he also placed a small tray of almond biscuit cookies topped with powdered sugar, a dessert typical of the Tuscan region, as another compliments of the kitchen. Between the tasty food and the small gestures of hospitality, we will definitely be back to dine here if we ever found ourselves in Viareggio again."
