"It is surprising how expensive this store has become, considering the Co-Op was known for its lower prices in the past. Almost every product is less expensive at the Tesco located just across the street. For example, you can get large Cadbury chocolate bars on offer at Tesco, while they are full price at Co-Op. If you are a regular shopper at Co-Op, you could end up spending an extra amount each month. In addition, the staff at Tesco are much friendlier compared to Co-Op. Another issue is that the self-scanning machines at Co-Op have been malfunctioning for months, causing delays as you have to wait for a cashier to fix errors. In contrast, I have never had any problems with the self-scan machines at Tesco. I am not affiliated with Tesco in any way, just sharing my experience. Have a great day, everyone."

An upmarket well stocked CO-OP which caters for the local office workers who are unfortunately at home due to the virus.

Today I purchased fruit and a Joker IPA. When I walked in, I looked around for sanitizer and there was none out. I heard another customer at the checkout asking where their sanitizer was and she said there was none, that it could be purchased! Please get your act together in this pandemic.

The restaurant offers a good selection of ethical brands, including Suma, which are vegan and organic. They also have a decent stock of their own vegan range called Gro. The store was busy each time I visited, and they have a plastic drop-off bin for recycling soft plastics. There were several staff members working during my visits.

"The woman working at the self-checkout was extremely rude. As I was packing my bag after paying, she came up behind me and aggressively asked what discount I had used. I told her I didn't know what she was referring to. Without further explanation, she reached past me, printed the receipt, crumpled it in her hand, and walked away without saying anything else."
