I decided to go for a traditional German meal – Schnitzel with Rösti – nice and exactly what I expected. Of course this is no high gastronomy – but plain and honest food. Seems to be less popular that the other restaurants on the square,...but I would recommend it. View menu

for years we have been coming this restaurant every time we are in Dortmund. Lovely variety of traditional German food. Staff are friendly (and most speak English). prices are reasonable and as it's located in the centre of Dortmund it is easy to pop in...to take a break whilst shopping.

The food was delicious but the waiters were really rude. They ignored us several times and one even knocked over one of the guests crutches and said do you want me to pick them up or can I just leave them on the floor for...you . Overall this made for an awkward dining experience where the guests and servers felt on edge. View menu

I've read some of the negative views for this place however​ i have to completely disagree. We were served quickly by really friendly staff. They gave us an English menu and we never encountered a language barrier. The food itself was really nice well priced...and a good portion ! If your visiting for the football or in general i would definitely recommend.

This place is it when it comes to good quality fast food in Dortmund. I walk an extra mile and walk pass all other Streetfood Stalls just to get the Real Deal at Thuringer Fries come with several sauces, for example Hollondaise. The price...is fair and the food amazingly satisfying! They serve huge portions as well! Try! You won't regret it! Dont expect too much from the staff in terms of friendlyness...its rather a tuff fastfood environment but to these kind of place i come for food only

I sat outside this restaurant on Saturday night but the waiting staff seemed more interested in what was going on away from the restaurant in the market square girls? mates? Who knows. I eventually managed to get a menu and after making my selection...I waited, and waited, and waited (guess what for? ....... a waiter I tried signalling but all in vain.... and when the waiter who handed me the menu disappeared into the market square, followed by the other waiter, I just gave up and went elsewhere. So I did not get to judge the schnitzels that are spoken so highly of on Tripadvisor and other sites. View menu
