"Ich hatte mich heute so sehr auf ein leckeres Stück Torte gefreut. Schon seit einiger Zeit sehe ich bei FB die Fotos von lecker aussehendem Kuchen. Leider hätte ich wohl am Mittwoch kommen sollen, damit meine Torte frisch gewesen wäre sie war leider alles andere als lecker. Und frisch schon gar nicht. Darauf angesprochen, sagte der sehr nette Kellner, dass sie von gestern wäre (was ich stark bezweifle), aber er würde gleich mal probieren. Hat er dann auch getan. Was er sich dachte beim probieren ich weiß es nicht, denn es gab keine Rückmeldung. Kosten für das Stück Torte :4,50€. Sorry. Auch das ist ein Preis der gar nicht geht . Ich sitze ja nicht an der Plaza in Frankfurt. Und wenn jetzt jemand mit der allgemeinen Preissteigerung kommt. Ich war gestern in einem Lokal in Fürth, da waren die Preise nur geringfügig gestiegen und immer noch moderat. Leider kann ich mir solche Preissteigerungen nicht leisten. Werde ich woanders mein Sonntagskaffee zu mir nehmen müssen. Die 3 Sterne gab es da für, dass ich eigentlich die Besitzer sehr mag"

"a new restaurant as replacement for the former operating unteer same line, but with reinforcement in the kitchen that concerns positiw on the offer. there is an extensive price map, not only pizzas!. I find the salad buffet and the homemade ice cream. 100 seats; in summer there is a beer garden in the open until 22.00 clock. free parking is available. the kitchen is very flexible and will welcome you. many foods are also available as a senior plate. but also here the senior must bring a "good hunger". almost all foods are also available in outhouse sales. the table is generous. they have enough space. the Italian owner places great value on the care of children. the price level moves in the "normal frame" for a restaurant in the forest. the menu that I find quite extensive is something for every taste. sometimes there are special offers. it is a pity that there is no small space for a united or family celebration. but the owner likes to assemble tables in a part of his restaurant. the waiting period for the ordered food depends on the number of visitors. drinks come very quickly. I can only recommend the dolce vita! does someone have a similar impression as my friends and me?"

"A really great place and just because it's so remote we find it so great. We sat in the yard and it was just fantastic. It is something quite different and has thus simply triggered this 'wow' effect. We have great tapas and a carving just order delicious. We can't do it anymore. It was perfect from the appetizer to the dessert, and especially the service, all around. We rarely had such a great experience. Thank you very much for this and soon"

"On Sunday with pre-ordered table, I believe without you getting as good as no place for 4 people, while a nice hike just get good food. Steak was buttery, also the carvings on Merretich sauce were lace. Also the fillet tips. Although there was a birthday or something like that, the food found our table in almost stunning speed. I have not experienced here when 20 people in the room are that it takes up to 1 hour before there is anything to eat. Getting back to the Gickelswirt, with a thick thumb high not only for the kitchen"

"I was actually a bit dissapointed with the restaurant. The ambience is fine and in summer it must really be lovely to sit outside, no doubt. But, I would'nt go out of my way to visit the restaurant. If you are in the vicinity then...It's ok. The menu was pretty small and not really appealing. Somehow they are trying to combine regionality with gourmet and this does not work out that well. Their winelist is also below average for a restaurant in this category. Most local wines from the Bergstrasse but this is not everyone's taste. The starter, I found was too pricey for a minute chicken assortment. It did look pretty though. I had game for mains and the portion was very reasonable. The game cooked to perfection which was soft and moist. The gravy reduction was way to strong. Vegetables cooked to perfection as well. The service is very friendly and helpful"
