"Lovely evening with friends and loved ones. Meat and cheese board was delicious, service a little slow considering the place wasn't busy but I guess that gave us time to enjoy the company and the evening. Would 100% go back. "Excellent choices on the menu, we had 3 courses and all were deliciou although we could easily have made different choices such was the range. Service was very good and overall this was a very pleasant experience and good value too. Definitely worth another visit."

"This was our first visit since the ferry changed hands. The biggest change for us was the food. The food is different but still good! We went on a Saturday, so can't comment on the Sunday roast but we tried a fair sample of the plates. For starters, we had a soup and a pate. Both went down very well. The soup was a vegetable soup, thick and dull of veggie chunks. The pate was a generous wedge. For mains, we had a steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, half roast chicken, and a fish goujon sandwich. The pie was well filled and a suet pastry for a change. Fish and chips, a fair portion and light looking batter. The half roast chicken was a fairly large bird and the fish goujon sandwich was well filled and tasty. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding- nice and light, and a fruit crumble with custard, slightly tart but a nice balance against the custard. Service was fast and the team were friendly.
