"Unfortunately, I only know the Filou in Heppenheim from breakfast and from a drink in the evening on the marketplace in a summer month. The evening drink was a HUGO, who was really very good, at the price of how to pay for it now. Breakfast was very abundant. We were two and had two normal breakfasts for one person each. The bread came together, the actual supplements on a separate plate. It was so much that it just fits the table. I can't say anything about the back of the town wall cellar. However, there were some guests who went through the cellar (the staircase is on the right) or the garden. This is really pretty. There is not only the menu of the city wall cellar, but also the one from the bistro of Filou. I'd like to go back. It is not possible to park directly in the vicinity, but the old town has hardly any parking spaces."

Food was excellent...best steak i have had in quite a while. Beer was very tasty as well. I highly recommend the place.

One of the specialities of this restaurant is their hot stone steaks. They deliver a hot flat stone and raw steak and you can cook it exactly to your liking, adding salt, herbs or garlic to taste. The roast goose is also superb

This place was not far from our hotel (Hotel Michel) . We were led underground to the seating area for our dinner. The place had a nice atmosphere and I think is very popular because the place was busy . The staff were friendly . The food was very delicious . I will definately visit there again .

Set in the main square of historic Heppenheim, Bistro Filou may be the only place open but it would likely still beat the competition. Relatively small but cozy feel with friendly staff and a nice bar (with about 8 seats). I went twice and enjoyed tomato soup, salmon, and grilled lamb - all prepared very nicely.

We arrived in the main square and were surprised it was so quiet. We discovered why when we went into the Filou and found it full - everyone was clearly lunching here! Lovely interior, menu had limited lighter choices for lunch but our two pasta choices were both tasty. Service was friendly. Worth going for the atmosphere alone.

It was a lovely summer evening, and we were able to be seated outside on the front part of the restaurant on the big old town Square. We enjoyed a wonderful turkey salad which was very fresh and tasty and it was washed down with a beer. Service was most charming and we could not have wished for a more lovely welcome to the town. Would definitely return and it is one of my favourites in this area.

It was at Filou for lunch. Unfortunately, the operation could not change my 50 Euro bill (not even had 2 x20 Euro bill). Since I didn't have a card to pay, I was really embarrassed. When I found change, I got it with the note now I have to work with my private money back. In the gastronomy where many tables are occupied, you should have exchange money, especially as a 50 euro bill is on the move. Also the sound makes the music it is not to blame the guest that cannot be changed as usual!

We were there as part of a small society. Unfortunately, there were no oven potatoes at noon that we were told by the friendly service unfortunately not that the meat from the hot stone can not be served at noon because the stones are still in the oven. Although we were just a really small company, there were false mistakes or false courts. Too bad. Tastefully it was okay for the price I would have expected more. Otherwise the location is very nice: you sit comfortably in front of the restaurant, interior ok, backyard and vaulted cellar very nice.

In 2011, the first time a little strolled through Heppen-u, Vettelheim, looking at the beautiful old houses to settle on the big market out at Filou. Light rustic ambience, not our service, which was quite friendly and good on it. And also flee came the order that wounded! Delicious wine from the mountain road and 1x hand cheese with bread and music 4.90 € and the world was fine, both tasteful and inexpensive. If the path leads us back to Heppenheim and the surrounding area, there will be nothing against a new visit. And the second visit to Filou was made in the autumn of Mannheim when we stayed there with our son.
