"Take the front door of the Marriott Renaissance Zürich Tower Hotel and then turn right and a few steps away is Steiner Flughafebeck, a bright, clean bakery with tables and seating areas. Together with freshly baked rolls and bread varieties, you can choose a wide range of sandwiches and pastries as well as salads, soups, chilli, curry and quiche. They also sell honey, jam and chocolate. The creamy pastries are particularly delicious. Come early to get the best choice because things sell quickly. Their coffee is good, and they also serve tea, beer, wine and soft drinks. Staff speak English and the shop is open from morning to early evening seven days a week. Clientele is made up of office/tech workers in the area and families, which are suitable for a treat or dinner fixation. A great restaurant alternative for a stay at this hotel."

This bakery was near our hotel. Eat there twice, soup and bakery. Food was excellent and service friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

I read the review on the pretzel and I didn’t know if I should believe it. So glad I tried it delicious with chive cream cheese and a hint of garlic. Get a few for sure!

Auch wenn Preise eher oben angesiedelt sind geht nichts über die Steiner Schoggigipfel. Verzehrempfehlung: beide Schokoladenenden zuerst abbeissen, dann den Rest verschlingen!

Bin immer wieder erfreut was Zürich anbietet. Bin per Zufall auf dieses Café meines Lieblingsbeck gestossen. Perfect, endlich mal was anderes. Leckere Backwaren und Snacks. Freundliche Bedienung und faire Preise. Ich werde diesen Ort wieder besuchen.

This cafe is across the Renaissance Hotel and across the street from the IBIS and Novotel. It serves great breakfast and also many snacks. The decor is very cozy and a great place to enjoy a coffee with friends. It also has several small gift options. Love it! View menu

Freundliches Personal, guter Kaffee und Leckereien, was will man mehr. Diese große Café ist schön im Retro-Stil eingerichtet, verfügt über viele Sitzplätze und auch Stehtische.Es liegen für die Gäste Tageszeitung bereit, WLAN/WiFi ist kostenlos!

Things just seem well-run here. There is a nice outdoor seating area while inside a mix of seating from sofas to tall and standard tables, then a few seats at the counter. The staff is friendly and greets customers upon entering. The atmosphere is relaxing...and the place offers a rather stunning selection of sweets, pastries, breads, sandwiches, muesli, salads, hot cold beverages, milk substitute products on the menu, house-made chocolates and more. I had the lactose-free hot chocolate and a strawberry pastry that was simply fresh and delicious and served with a piece of their house-made chocolate. The restrooms were spotless and it's very family friendly. The staff thanked me for my visit....

"My recent visit to Edi's Pizzeria in downtown Zurich was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly set the tone for the entire experience. First and foremost, I must commend the staff for their exceptional service. Every member of the team was not only friendly but also incredibly attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection. From offering recommendations to promptly refilling drinks, their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. "This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
