"Three of us visited this restaurant today. We ordered 2 chicken dishes - one grilled and one special, as well as a salad and lasagna for my son. We also had some olives and bread to start. The atmosphere reminded us of Portugal. The food was unpretentious but of really good quality, a nice change from the typical deep-fried food found on the seafront. We highly recommend trying their house wine, which was great, as well as the firewater (Cape Verde) that I enjoyed with my espresso. There is a significant Portuguese community in Great Yarmouth, so there are some great spots to discover. This was the best meal we've had during our week in Great Yarmouth."

Traditional portuguese restaurant with a lot of traditional portuguese food, including meat, fish and other seafood. Tasty starters as well and desserts. The service in there is quite fast and they try to pay attention to everyone. Very affordable prices for the food quality.

We unexpectedly found Galante and decided to have lunch there on our way to the sea life center. It was a delightful experience - the staff were very friendly and the food was incredibly delicious. We enjoyed a fantastic, simple soup followed by large, succulent garlic prawns with bread for dipping in the sauce. Definitely worth a trip to Great Yarmouth!

Third time eating at this place. Each time the food was just superb. Very Portuguese cuisine cooked to perfection in generous portions with a Portuguese atmosphere. Love it. Lots of meat and fish dishes with great wines beers.Served by very polite Portuguese people who speak English your order is spot on and the menu is explained perfectly.
