"We had never been to this restaurant before and discovered it on Groupon. The greeting we received was very warm, and the food was generally good. However, my steak was nearly raw, and I couldn't even cut it with the steak knife, so I had to leave the meat uneaten. A person who appeared to be the manager came over and asked if everything was okay. I wanted to mention my issue with the undercooked steak, but before I could say anything, he turned and walked away, which we all found rather rude. I thought it was odd that he asked a question and then didn’t stick around for the answer. I'm concerned about this, especially since I had invited another group of family members to come. Aside from this issue, we did enjoy our dining experience."

evening dinner on a Sunday evening. quite quiet evening, steaks were very good, as was the bass. chose the Sauté potatoes as a healthy option to chips, ok, but should have chips. white savings wine through the glass was not so good. the meal was very good overall and enjoyed by all

Unfortunately, the food was merely warm once more, and the beef and lamb were just as difficult to cut as they had been on my first visit. I brought this to the attention of the manager, who said he would inform the chef the following day. Regrettably, we won’t be returning to this restaurant. View menu

The service is amazing and the ambiance is fantastic, with live music and breathtaking panoramic views of the sunset. The food is as delicious as it is visually appealing, with fantastic fish dishes and tasty cocktails. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's the perfect place to enjoy a memorable dinner before you leave.

Five of us dined here, and the staff took excellent care of us, even though the rest of the restaurant was fully booked for a festive Christmas celebration. The burgers were incredibly delicious and more reasonably priced than the steaks. Two members of our group shared the 26oz chateaubriand steak, but they felt it didn't quite live up to their expectations.

We had a fantastic dining experience with impeccable service at Torhaus 1883. After searching for a non-burger or pizza option in Southampton, we came across some Instagram posts showcasing the beautiful dishes at Torhaus 1883. The food did not disappoint, it was truly delicious. I highly recommend the spay and draughter, as the vegetables were fresh and tender. The service was top-notch, both relaxed and attentive. The chef even came to talk to us at the end of our meal, and it was clear from our conversation that he had a passion for the restaurant, which translated into the fantastic dining experience. I definitely recommend giving Torhaus 1883 a try! View menu

I met relatives here for lunch . It was quiet and only a few guests. We had lunch including starter, main and desert. The weather was sunny and the view of the water was lovely. A few massive ships passed by which was fun. The food was fine but not outstanding. We had burger mains. The burgers were ok, fries seemed to be frozen, salad was the usual English lettuce, cucumber and toms. The service is very cheery good, the building is special. The building and water front location are the main reasons I chose this venue. I would come here again for lunch, especially when the weather is sunny, but not for an evening meal out as the food is not special enough.

"Bacaro is situated in Ocean village and it is a little gem of a place. It is tastefully decorated for a chilled and relaxing time that you will have. There is both a restaurant and bar area and you feel at ease in the place !! Anyway upon arrival you are always greeted with a smile by the happy bar staff which is always lovely I have always loved this place but I would only give a top rating if it deserved it and not through loyalty !! Tonight I had arancini, crayfish linguine and garlic bread, washed down with a lovely glass of house red. The arancini are just the best I have ever tasted, they are both filling but light, the taste is a joy for the taste buds and obviously highly recommended. The linguine is a good portion, I love the flavours and the way the dish is both cooked and presented, the crayfish has a subtle flavour and I never leave any of it. The garlic bread is filling and not dry, they don't skimp on the garlic butter I can't fault the food at all and never have done this is mainly due to the sublime cooking skills from the chefs Greg, Alex and all the wonderful kitchen staff. Bacaro is expertly run the effervescent manager Sophie, for the job you do and how you run Bacaro I tip my hat to you Sophie is well backed up by Matt, Eleanor, Conor, Sindija and all the other wonderful staff ... You make the place and we are grateful for the brilliant jobs you do Very highly recommend"
