"Spent 7 night stay here touring WW1 Battlefields, picked this location as central for 'The Somme Area ' and easy to find, close to motorway from Calais. Has everything you need for a relaxing stay, all in one place. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, great shower, lounge area, bar and restaurant. Continental breakfast with loads of choice, food in restaurant is exceptional, nice touch was Chef serving main course to us. Small number of staff working very hard and always there to help. We found the relaxed dress code acceptable and very French, didn 't affect the quality of service. Some reviews say there are cheaper rates nearby in Albert, we did okay by searching on booking sites. Plenty of parking on Hotel forecourt covered by cctv. Number of Supermarkets nearby and very helpful Tourist Information in Bapaume. Will stay here again and recommend to friends. Thank you Hotel de la Paix Team."

"Very good reception. day entrance: melon and ham are very good (damage is not enough). the daily menu based on the cuddly net is qualitative, rice accompaniment and small vegetables is very good. beer (page 24) is very fresh and unaltering. dessert apple pie is gustative (a little soft on the dough). coffee is a good dose. bread would be a point to improve. The toilet is clean."

"le cadre est banal, mais la cuisine est bonne et les prix très honnêtes. Les pizzas sont bien plus petites que la moyenne et vu la taille des grandes salades, on n'ose imaginer celle des petites ! Par contre, il vaut mieux partager l'assiette gourmande, bien trop copieuse pour une personne.Par ailleurs, on nous a apporté une bouteille d'eau... tiède. Nous l'avons fait échanger contre une fraîche, mais on nous a facturé les deux, sans sourciller ! Bravo pour le geste !"

"Booked a table as it was Friday night for 8pm expecting it to be busy. Arrived and given a table, after 10mins we had to get up and chase the waiting staff for menus. After another 15mins we had to chase them again to take...an order (no apology). After sitting at our table for a full 40mins we still had no drinks (not even water) and no sign of any food. The wine, water and also the food all arrived at once after 45mins and to be fair was ok. The fastest service of the night was the bill delivered in under 2mins! We did wonder if it was just us, but a couple sitting at the next table gave up and walked out after a similar scenario of chasing the waiting staff multiple times, they had been sitting for over 45mins and still no drinks never mind any food. The food is decent, but the service is absolutely awful, so can’t recommend this place to anyone. Hard to believe that a place with service this bad gets any repeat customers."
