"happened by chance, on indications of local people and, after having traveled a nice stretch of road immersed in the woods and in the Tuscan nature, I find myself in this village called palaia. Fortunately, I can find a parking space near the restaurant. let me sit outside and, while I was delighted by a sunset in the Tuscan hills, a nice waitresss listed me out of the menu of the day including the pork rib with fondue and nuts immediately I climbed the water in my mouth. It is a nice cut of pork cooked in the left irons soft and juicy with a casting of fondue and pieces and I say pieces of nuts, accompanied by a wafer of cheese and fried verdurine not batted. all accompanied by a glass of good red wine of the house. at the end of dinner I went away more than satisfied also for the adequate cost supported, so much so that I booked for dinner the day after which I got a lardellata cut. very recommended for those who are in the surroundings and I recommend the reservation since the place is very frequent. friendly and helpful staff"

The best spaghetti al pomodoro we’ve ever had! We went back twice for it within a 6 day span. You need to rsv as this gets busy very quickly. The service is great, very fast and the food is lovely!

Came here for lunch on a Monday when there were not many options in town open for lunch, and I’m so glad we did. I had the steak with the rocket, and the tortellini with pink sauce and I never wanted it to end. They also gave us complimentary garlic toast, which was delicious! Can’t wait to come back. The service was also fabulous, they didn’t speak English too well, but the menu made it easy to communicate as it had English translations!

Wonderfull authentic family Tuscan restaurant with rooth going more than 60 years back. Great Italian antipasti we choose melon with Toscana ham, bruschettas with garlic over to 2nd course of great pizzas (for the teenagers) and 750 gram steak of local veal with fried potatoes and vegetables. Mixed ice cream and Panna cotta with chocolate sauce as dessert. Lovely and friendly waiters and owner, who pays great attention to the guest. One waiter spoke perfect English and helped choosing. Menu card was both in It/Eng/Ger. Beside the great food the outside terraces have a magnificent view over the beautiful Toscana landscapes and the nearby villages. If you go to Palaia this is a “ most have” bu...

"We visited this restaurant twice, once in a group of two couples and once as a larger family group. We thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The interior of the restaurant is much larger than it seems from outside and can seat many people. Despite this, service is efficient and friendly. It is very much a family restaurant on one of our visits, two adults supervised about 20 10 year olds at a birthday party and all of the staff, including chefs, are very good with children. The menu is quite extensive, and includes quite a few seafood dishes. I particularly enjoyed the carpaccio of smoked fish antipasto, and the grilled fish main course. They have an extensive pizza menu and offer pizzas in different sizes, and the pizza oven is right in the centre of the restaurant, so you can watch your pizza being made. They have a good selection of drinks, including draught beer, but the house wine is very good and surprisingly inexpensive. Prices overall are lower than other restaurants that we tried in the area: the Florentine steak was the cheapest we saw anywhere (and it was delicious). Surprisingly, they have no natural juice drinks such as apple or orange, only fizzy drinks, so our bambina had to get by with fizzy water. The restaurant has a lively buzz, so some may find it noisy, but it makes for a good atmosphere. Most of the other diners were locals, so it does feel like an authentic Italian restaurant. Probably my favourite restaurant in Capannoli."
