"I went with my wife last week to Jasmin and the experience was mixed. The food is good, and the portions are huge, however everything surrounding the food was a bit disappointing. The environment’s decoration is really typical and you can tell immediately that you are in a Middle East restaurant. That is a plus. However, the music was so loud and penetrating, that I felt having dinner inside a night club. A kind of electronic music with some high-pitched singers made the whole experience rather unpleasant. I don’t mind music while having dinner, but I just wished that was a bit calmer within the room. At some point I realised I had to almost yell at my wife to communicate with her. We ordered two appetisers: a baked pastry filled with spinach and another one with cheese. Really nice and tasty, for us the highlight of the dinner. I ordered some kibe with yoghurt sauce and my wife roasted chicken with a rice with spices and cashew nuts. The two dishes were good, specially the kibe. I could come back for the food, however just the memory of the loud music makes me think twice. Sometimes only the food is not enough, one wants to relax and have a nice chat while dinning, and unfortunately this is not the ideal place for it."
