"Unfortunately, Cafe Strickmann hasn't been what it used to be. The service that looks to the table several times and the order no longer knows...the old staff is mostly gone and a few waiters who, unfortunately, don't speak or understand well German simply don't do a good job. The aroused kindness that was used to the ladies is no longer available. Prices are rising everywhere, but this is normal today, but when prices rise and quality suffers or The chocolate cake for 4.80 euros was a very thin slice, where one wondered whether it's still a bit narrower? lactose-free milk or oat milk doesn't exist there, which meanwhile offer so many small cafés that probably don't have sales,as this large-scale café. The café was formerly an institution .and very well known for delicacies. But the delicacies counter was closed when Corona was and would not be opened again. It was refurbished, so it looked so for my taste as if a blind man chose everything. These depressing tones that are not harmonious in color are wallpaper and the ceiling color) that just hurts one's eyes if you have a little taste. To this end, these black lamps on the wall and all of them are thrown together with the former classical furnishings. The modern carpet looks like if it had completely expired and does not fit the rest of the interior. Not from color or style. With less financial effort, I would have created the café in its style that it looks friendly and welcoming and everyone feels comfortable in it. Because it was a vintage cafe and now it is neither modern nor vintage .The beautiful handwriting from Cafe Strickmann is gone. What is much worse is that the positive energy that lives in this cafe has disappeared, what remains are people who have not understood the charm of an old beloved cafe. For me and my friends, the café is now perfect. Too bad the regular customers are so unimportant and so disappointed, because today we were not the only ones who felt the same."
