"A family-style restaurant, where Sicilian Italian cuisine is authentic. The olives and bread that accompany the aperitives announce the color: it is a color coming straight from the island of southern Italy that dyes the served dishes. And that's exactly what we're looking for in such an Italian restaurant. The pasta dishes were delicious. The Italian wine served with the glass ideally accompanied the meal. The tiramisù was very nice: light and not too sweet. The coffee is served Italian, so it's perfect. An Italian restaurant to know in Douai."

"Frankly disappointed this time!! I was a regular, but I haven't been back in 3-4 years. This noon I go back and tell me I'm gonna eat well and... not at all. I chose a double carpaccio that was served half hot, half frozen (the microwave didn't suffice) I used to have a home-made, generous kitchen. There for the first time I didn't finish my plate (the best was the salad with homemade vinaigrette) Time is hard but selling his soul to the devil and giving in to buying at Metro is not necessarily the right decision. I may go back there to check that the rest of the card is made home and that it was an error of course but it will be with distrust (in any case not to test the tartare that must be next to the carpaccio shelf at Metro)"

"Nous avions réservé un soir de semaine pour une dizaine de personnes, en précisant au téléphone que nous étions pressés, car avions des obligations à 20h30. Au téléphone il nous est dit que c'est noté et qu'il n'y aura pas de souci sur les horaires. Nous arrivons à 19h, dès l'ouverture. Nous sommes les premiers à arriver. On nous donne les cartes en silence, puis l'attente... Pendant que d'autres clients, apparemment habitués, sont chaleureusement accueillis, installés et ont pu passer leur commande. Enfin on s'occupe de nous, on prend notre commande. Voyant l'heure avancer, on demande à payer d'avance pour n'avoir plus qu'à partir une fois le repas fini. La patronne rechigne un peu, puis râle car on paie quasiment tous par carte. Nous avons commandé vers 19h30, pizzas servies vers 20h10... Je vous laisse imaginer le temps qu'on a eu pour littéralement les engloutir. C'est dommage car elles étaient littéralement excellentes. De ce fait, je pense revenir, espérant toutefois que dans un autre contexte, peut être moins stressant, l'accueil sera plus cordial."

Then you choose chopped steak or marinated chicken (preference for the steak (perfect cooking, cheese (cheddar, savoy tomme or ? , sauce (house burger, delicious honey mustard, original mango curry and ingredients of your choice (3 for the student menu). What to vary the pleasures!! And without forgetting the choices made at home. Everything's good, enjoy it."

"Plaisir d'y aller régulièrement. Le personnel ainsi que la patronne et son mari, cuisinier sont très sympa ! De l'attente hier car le resto , comme la terrasse étaient plein de monde. Les serveuses couraient sans se départir de leur sourires ! Les plats toujours aussi bons et copieux pour un prix très raisonnable.. Produits frais , viande excellente. Le resto a le Label excellence de TripAdvisor et il le mérite amplement !! Allez-y sans hésiter !!!!"

"I visited this place twice. Once this February and another yesterday. Surprisingly, things weren't the same. The service was a bit slow and we haven't received exactly what we ordered. Over that, the experience I had in February wasn't just there. Now, things which were good. Their millefeuille it was just oozing with amazing flavours. Entrecôte was okayish. I like the February version. In desserts, tiramisu and creme brulee are the stars. I liked the thought that they add fruits to tiramisu, not classic, but you will enjoy. Service was good. Kind, patient and always with a smile. Definitely worth a visit for third time.."

"Je suis arrivé à "La Renommée" à 18h, pressé par le temps et par une envie urgente de "steak tartare / frites" !J'ai expliqué tout cela (rapidement bien sûr) au serveur qui prenait l'air tranquillement sur le pas de la porte. Aussitôt dit, aussitôt fait, et moins de dix minutes plus tard, j'avais devant moi l'objet de mon désir et une bonne bière pression.Repas copieux, viande fraîche et frites succulentes. Bref, plus faim après tout cela.Je ne viens (reviens)pas à "La Renommée" pour vivre un moment gastronomique, mais pour retrouver l'atmosphère de mon Nord natal, tel que je l'ai connu pendant ma jeunesse.Toujours le même plaisir simple et fort. A recommander pour de tels moments."

"The dishes are delicious and the impeccable service, small critic however on the chicken cajun salad, for almost 17 euro we still expect a well provided salad and this is not really the case ... There were tenders in the caesar salad, there they are cut to give the impression that there are, and above all a half hard egg only... if you don’t put many of them you could at least leave 1 whole egg: The caesar salad that is no longer on the map was more generous. This is less, but the price has not declined: I don’t like complaining but really disappointed because it’s delicious"
