"The restaurant is on the second floor of a back-alley not easy to find and because of that probably less frequented. It offers classic Italian dishes with very innovative variations. The food is not only creative but also delicious! The service is caring and...typically Italian-friendly. Our waiter went out of his way to accommodate some special dietary needs that we had. The flaws are little: The ambience of the only retaurant room could use some improvement. The colorful paintings on the wall are a little bit in your face and the watch-style clock is really not necessary. Those things are tiny, but would make the experience even better. Despite the high quality of the food, the prices also seem too high. I guess if you have fewer customers, the margins have to be higher. The part that actually lowered my rating from to was the cookedness of the beef we had. We ordered one steak well-done and one steak medium and what we received was medium and rare. We still ate it, but this is something that shouldn't happen at a restaurant of this price class."

The food is very good, yes, my level of home cooking, which is a compliment, but I found the prices extremely high for the small servings here. of us spent over with wine but decided to go to Vapiano around the corner afterwards...for something more substantial

Decided to try La Scala on Thursday night because all my regular haunts were booked solid, Glad I took a chance because we both loved our meal. My porchetta rolled pork was delicious! Moist pork with a yummy crunchy crackling on the outside and a...bit of gravy on the side. The lamb chops were tender and perfectly seasoned. Both were cooked in the wood oven you can see it and the kitchen from the main dining area. We chose a Langhe Nebbiolo from the extensive wine list and it all just worked.
