Great old fashioned pub in Covent Garden. Crowded in Saturday lunch time but people come and go do ok. Friendly. Nice atmosphere.

The dinner was delightful, the staff was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We can't wait to come back again. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful atmosphere historic pub. Food selection of beers and snacks. Went for an early drink and was warmly welcomed by the bar staff. Had a pint of London pride which was excellent.

The restaurant had a policy of not allowing children inside, so we had to wait outside in the rain until we were finally allowed to enter the designated child-friendly area after 2 minutes. View menu

A typical characterful old London pub. Had a great atmosphere when we went in for drinks before Xmas, and also most handy for West End theatres, Leicester Square underground and Covent Garden.

We visited many pubs while in London, and this was one of my favorites. It was very crowded when we went (it’s a small pub), but we were able to grab a beer and go out to the front courtyard/alley and drink it there. I really like this bar’s location tucked away and off a small alley.

We visited this pub as it used to be a friend of ours local years ago. It’s a friendly old fashioned London pub where nobody bothers you. It’s not pretentious or trendy , no huge tv screens or slot machines . Just a pub to go for a good pint and a chat. Swift service with a smile . I loved it View menu

Probably the nicest and most atmospheric pub we visited in London. It was a cold January evening and not many people were there, I guess when it is full it looks differently. Service was good as were the snacks we ordered. The lane itself where the pub is located is nice and so is its history. Recommended.

This is a great pub that we have visited many times, but this our first meal here. It was very busy and we hadn’t booked but we did manage to get a table for 2. The Roast chicken was very good and I enjoyed my fish and chips. Good portions. While up you are paying London prices, it’s still not bad value. And of course the beer is great

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
