"I barely can describe how our lunch at L 'Angoletto was. I went there on a Tuesday in July with some colleagues to celebrate a coworker-last day but it turned out to be a NIGHTMARE. The waiter, a 61-years-old Roman men who thought to be entitled to say and do everything he wanted to, started from the very beginning of the lunch to make fun of me and my body. As the other female colleague ordered a dry wine , he turned to me saying he will bring a very special dry one secco in Italian, which also means thin “like my colleague is, and not like me or the other guy”, defined by him as not that dry also not that thin . Me, 26-years-old and average build girl, knew right away he was just joking and decided to take the joke. The waiter seemed not to understand how rude and impolite he had been and kept making jokes about my region of origin North Italy , my tastes ecc. All of a sudden, in the middle of the lunch and while we were talking , he TOOK the plastic water bottle I had with me OUT OF MY BAG and emptied it on a flower pot right next to us. We all were shocked and could not believe our eyes. He said he would fill it with fresh water and would give it back to me once I leave. He obviously did NOT know that it was filled with my MEDICINE. I did not say a single word and kept eating. What to add? Very tasty bucatini all 'amatriciana although I wasn 't supposed to eat them since I 'm not that thin, right? UNBELIEVABLE"

gentilezza, cortesia. semplici, piatti d'oca, cucinati con cura e abilità e cosa dire sui dolci fatti in casa. Molto bene. Ci siamo sentiti come a casa in queste notti.

Honestly the best pasta I have ever had fettucine with mushrooms and shrimps. Made with this sauce that I can still taste now! My husband got a pizza which was really good too and we got bruschetta for starters for only €2! Hidden little gem!

We ate at this restaurant on our last night with my sister and her boyfriend. We ate outside and had a lovely time. Food and wine was all amazing. The service was great. It is in a nice little Piazza and is tucked away and quiet. Made for a wonderful evening.

We were sent to this restaurant by a friend who had been there several times. When the cab driver dropped us off we had to walk down a darker street where it opened to a square. At first we were nervous about it but everything was fine. The staff was very nice and service was prompt. Food was FANTASTIC!

My wife and I had dinner at L"Angoletto while on vacation in Rome. My sea bass was mushy and tasteless. I complained to the waiter and suggested it was frozen fish. He brought out a fresh sea bass to show me they used fresh fish. I guess they have some fresh fish to show customers but what I received on my plate was either frozen fish or very poorly cooked. With all the other great restaurants in Rome why would anyone go here.

What a delightful evening! Domenico was a genuine host and served the most delicious dinner we could have asked for... We ate so much we could hardly move when we left! We shared a spinach ravioli and caprese salad to start, then had osso buco and veal scallapini for our entrees. The wine was recommended by Domenico and was fabulous. Too full for dessert, we had limoncello and a small plate of cookies which were on the house . We will return here again when we get back to Rome another time. Delicioso!

This restaurant came recommended to us by our hotel staff. We had reservations for an 8:30 dinner and arrived on time. It was a lovely evening and we opted to eat outside. We asked the server what the gluten free options were for dinner. Unprovoked, the waiter SCREAMED in a very angry voice a list of gluten free pasta shapes. We were so embarrassed that all of the other people dining outside were turning around staring at us. It was at that moment, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere (there are many other dining options near the Pantheon). We had a wonderful meal at a nearby restaurant.

We didn't have a reservation for a Saturday night in Rome and were hoping to find just the spot as this. Tucked into a off main little piazza, outdoor dining and not very busy. The menu was the best of both worlds with fish dishes, meat and pasta. We started with the eggplant mozzarella starter which was tender and perfectly sauced, it came with house made foccasa bread. We had the black truffle spaghetti and Osso bucco which were both perfectly plated and amazing. Pasta was cooked al dente and the right amount of sauce to keep the noodles covered. Osso bucco was for tender with a delicate sauce on the side. The waitstaff was super attentive but not hovering and they let us enjoy our bottle...

Ate at this place last time we were in Rome , one of the waiters even remembered my partner. However the guy that was left to attend to us had all the charm of a retired prison officer. On top of that I ordered the beef dish , the portion was so small it was hardly befitting a starter. If you look at my older reviews I gave this place a good review. In fact last time we ate here more than once . Not this time. One visit was plenty. There was also the tourist trap bread and water on the table , there goes 8 Euro before the kickoff. Also my partner asked for a glass of wine but was given a bottle not being one to complain we said nothing. I prefer up front honesty and this was deficient here....
