"We regularly visited this restaurant for breakfast and evening meals while staying at the Therasia Resort. The setting is quite simple stunning. The breakfasts were of a consistently high standard, including fresh orange juice, locally made yoghurt, plenty of fresh fruit and well worth trying freshly grilled prawns. Yes, for breakfast! The evening meals were also consistently excellent. The service was outstanding. We were in Vulcano at a very quiet time of year as the season had only just started. My guess would be that in high season July and August the experience would have been somewhat different. The only down sides were that the starters were rather repetitive, and wine was very expensive."

Over fussy, peculiar menu, not my cup of tea I'm afraid. Shame, lovely setting, ambiance, but food needs to improve.

Tuna was bad smelling and bad tasting , the chef did not take the time to talk to us after the problem but sent the waiter.

The restaurant offers a great rangen of sea food, meat and also vegetarian dishes. The only room for improvement is when having desert.

A huge breakfast choice and in the evening local seafood and interesting delicious meals. The wine list was extensive and the sommelier gave good suggestions which I thought were reasonably priced.

As the main restaurant in the resort, it could have offered a slightly more international cuisine (or even cuisine from areas of Italy other than just Siciliy) Breakfasts were brilliant, but even here, staff had to be prompted to replenish items.

This restaurant with nice sea views is part of the fabulous Theresia hotel. The fantastic breakfast is served here as well as lunch and dinner. The hotel has also 2 other restaurants so plenty of choice. The food is more inclined to traditional sicilian food but there is something for everyone. Had 2 dinners here and it was really good. Choice is a bit limited but everything is fresh and mostly fish preparations logical when surrounded by the sea. You will not be disappointed.

if we run outside, we can't sit in the restaurant grusoni. I would say during the ex trip to Sicily this was actually the worst experience. it's quite expensive, but can't really see why. Maybe we were unhappy with what we ate tonight, but still. Bad and simple main courses (boiled/drilled and small pieces of kartoffeln) and bad desserts. good wein. service pretty bad, so many people try to give good service. one time would have been great. but now we had like people who were standing there and it felt a little strange and not so personal. maybe there must be a chance to visit therasia resort again!

Raining outside so we couldn't sit at the Grusoni restaurant. I would say, during out stay in Sicily, this was actually the worst experience. It's fairly expensive but can't really see why. Maybe we were unlucky with what we ate this evening but still. Bad and simple main courses (overcooked/grilled chicken and 10 small pieces of potatoes) and bad desserts. Good wine.. Service quite bad, so many people trying to give good service. One at a time, would have been great. But now we had like 5 persons just standing there and it felt a little bit strange and not so personal. Maybe have to give it another chance if we visit Therasia resort again!

"The larger the expectations, the greater the disappointment when these are disrespectful. we find this famous restaurant inside the guide of the solitary planet and from the first day on the island, seen the local celebrity (also referred to by the owner of our holiday home), we decide that we had to go to dinner. we phone the same evening that we set foot to lipari and the first available date is after 5 days, or almost in conjunction with the end of our holiday. we decide to fix this date and organize which dinner would be from the grand finale of our liparota stay. setting our expectations even more on the spot. we arrived the great day, we present ourselves in perfect time and we are immediately greeted in this place that somehow reminds the great reception halls of the 80s where we went to children for weddings. However, for a restaurant like this, you can also enjoy the atmosphere a little vintage. We'll sit down right after that, let's skip the adult age of almost all the staff in the room. what we appreciate and interpret as a sign of professionalism and experience, impression that then will prove truthful throughout the dinner. to welcome us, approach our table an old and kind gentleman who will turn out as the owner of the place, that we appreciate very much and that makes us feel immediately in good hands. the gentleman, immediately try to advise us by guiding us in the choice of dishes. Now, given the richness of the fish tank of the day we were almost all oriented to choose a second of fish, but behind the advice of the owner we decide instead to start with a mixed fish appetizer and a first. this choice was also guided by the fact that the paper menu is sometimes difficult to understand, given the multitude of dishes present that can make confusing those who have no clear ideas about what to take. It is in fact that after the ordination wine and appetizers arrive in a baton and we begin our dinner. the mixed appetizer is very good and rich in delicious combinations that include: fish, fruit and local cheese. everything leaves us very satisfied and lets us take the first good and inviting. Unfortunately, however, it was not so, since all the first dishes chosen had a disappointing one, the pasta seemed to be too much to the tooth (as testified by many other reviews) and the dress was too heavy for Filipino macaroni and too brodoso for the fettuccine of the island. Perhaps we would not understand their kitchen until the end, but the impression was that maybe it was better to take a second, than at the same price would leave us more satisfied. also because we are talking about 19€ for a dish of pasta, price that apparently seemed more tied to the prestige of the place than to the quality of the dishes. in short, we were a little disappointed overall, since we tried other restaurants far more at hand and we were really excited while here could go better. This does not take away that from the Filipino remains in my opinion a fundamental stage for a visit to Lipari, perhaps opting for a second."
