"The area around Kottbusser Tor square is a gateway to various interesting Kreuzberg streets and while the square itself is unattractive and a bit run-down, the lively polyglot environment makes up for it. Right off the square, at the beginning of Adalbertstraße, you find the Kurdish restaurant Lasan which serves decent to very good food. A big draw is the Tandur-oven flat bread which arrived very fresh but somewhat lacking in taste. The vegetarian falafel plate was a stand out: excellent ful, tasty accompaniments - the usual suspects from humus and tabbule to tsatsiki (Caçik in Turkish). Another big draw is the wood-fired grill, so we ordered the large "family grill plate" - kebap, pieces of lamb and chicken, and lamb chop - all competently if a bit over grilled and served with flatbread (and rice we had ordered separately - Euro 1.50). The hot sauce and tsatsiki from the vegetarian plate did much to enliven the grilled meats. A separately ordered salad was average.Service is competent and prices reasonable. There are many interesting Turkish/Kurdish restaurants to be explored in Kreuzberg - Lasan is a pretty good start."

If you want to eat good traditional oriental food and avoid the high prices and touristy bustle of Hasir, around the corner, this is the perfect choice! The food is great and portions are big, plus they serve a soup with every main course. View menu

Dinner at Lasan was very good. All the food was delicious the lamb and beef in our grill plate, and the falafel were particularly excellent!! A few dishes unavailable, but there were still lots of good options. The serving sizes were exactly as pictured in their menu, and we were charged correctly.

Recommended by a local we decided to try lasan. I love Turkish meze so this was right up my street. Lots of vegetarian options along with lamb and chicken kebabs and some curries. Service was quick and the food was fresh and tasty, even got a free bowl of soup to start. The flatbreads which are freshly made are to die for! There is also a take away but at the side. Only thing to note is there is no alcohol served.

1. Freshly baked Tandoor bread which can be eaten along with virtually anything, ranging from Soups to main course dishes.2. Excellent Kebabs for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. My friends, who are non-vegetarians love the Chicken and Lamb Kebabs and me, being a vegetarian, love the Veg Tandoori platter.3. Prices are quite reasonable and you get free of cost Turkish/Arabic tea all the time.In a nutshell, a MUST GO, if you like Turkish/Arabic food! View menu

It was our last meal in Berlin. This is small place a stone throw from the station (Kottbusser Tor).Prices were very affordable, food fresh (mainly grilled meat) and portions very generous! They gave us a free lentil soup with our meal (starter), must be a stadard practice. We had a hummus and falafel starter to share and one chicken and one lamb dish for main. Lamb was lovely, chicken slightly under-cooked for my liking. Overall a very good experience and we left feeling full!

we went today to this restaurant after we heard about it from a friend , it was difficult to find at the begining then we find the small door , it was almost full , a beautiful smell of grill followed and the assurance that the meat is Halal made us more comfortable, althogh the restaurant is small , the seats were comfortable enough , it was also clean , the toilet was also cleanthe menu was in german which we do not understand yet there is a small picture of the dish adjacent to the description so it was easy to choose, they offered us free lentil soup -courtesy of the restaurant - yet i do not like lentil soup so one of my colleagues finished his and mine as well.the dish was cheap about 5,...
