Had a late breakfast of Welsh rarebit with mushrooms, washed down with a st clements juice. Absolutely delicious. Local ingredients are sourced. Great choice of teas, cold drinks and coffee. Friendly owner. Highly recommend.

after visiting the battle abbey we went by to see what they had on the menu. really surprised to see so many options. the woman prefers not to have the usual Burger option and chose a starter arancini spatula, inherit and lemon while I had the beyond spice baguette with chips.

I had an amazing vegan roast dinner made with Beyond Meat at this restaurant. The Sunday dinner was absolutely delicious, especially enjoyed on a sunny afternoon in the garden. The staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Additionally, the restaurant is dog-friendly. View menu

After our visit to Battle Abbey, we decided to check out the menu at the restaurant nearby. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available. My wife opted for a starter of arancini (asparagus, pea, and lemon) instead of the typical burger, while I went for the beyond sausage baguette with chips.

they will have a wonderful couple of hours in lavendar abbey tea rooms sat before the fire in comfi chairs with friends and the owner nattering. Made to feel so welcome, it had a warm, welcoming atmosphere and delicious eating with tempting cakes that we could not resist! go and pay them a visit, you will be glad that you did it.

we had a nice dinner here and was very surprised to see so many vegan and gluten-free options on the menu! we shared the mezze platter with some chips that was tasty, the platter was full of beautiful olives, sunken tomaten, hummus, falafels, sugar snap hebsen and some gf flatbread it was so good! too full for sorbet for dessert, we just have to go back! 8 of us went to the breakfast on Sunday morning. what a Jewel. the atmosphere, service and eating were all excellent. recommend the English breakfast with dads army sausage and finished with a beautiful mouth, the fresh peone with jam and sawn watered. they also love the tea with fresh leaves and served in china tassen. worth a visit, just before the abbey.

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegan and gluten-free options on the menu. We enjoyed the mezze platter with chips, which was delicious and filled with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, hummus, falafel, sugar snap peas, and gluten-free flatbread. We were too full to try the sorbet for dessert, but we will definitely be returning to try it next time!

Trust me when I say I have tried many scones around England. The ones at this place are the best compared to many I have tried around the country. My raisin scone was perfect in every way, was fresh from the oven and warm, juicy, tasty, with delicious clotted cream and jam. To die for. Tea sizing was great and not small like in some cafes, perfect for washing down the beautiful scone goodness. The sad thing is that my scone experience here made everything else in Battle seem rather ordinary! View menu
