"Down an alley from the Joan of Arc church you find one of Rouen's hidden gems, Le Cap'tain. Unassuming from afar, this small burger bar (yes, a burger bar should be counted among the top Rouen restaurants) sets an ambient atmosphere with stripped back brick walls, beautiful decor and friendly staff.Having read previous Trip Advisor reviews we went there confidently, but nothing could have prepared us for the incredible quality and taste sensation of Le Cap'tain's burgers. In truth, you have never had a burger until you have had it here! Truly one of the best restaurants in Rouen, the chef at Le Cap'tain upholds the proud French tradition of cooking the tastiest food using fresh ingredients and cooking up even the ketchup from scratch All this would be enough on its own for me to recommend Le Cap'tain as one of my absolute favourite Rouen restaurants, but what makes this Rouen burger bar truly exceptional is the owner and staff. Rarely have I been made to feel so at home and welcomed in any restaurant. The waiter's level of English was great, as was the chef's and owner's who both came to ensure everything was in order with our meal.If you are looking for a great Rouen restaurant , look no further than Le Cap'tain."

Really large menu of burgers! I tried the doudou burger and it was really nice with the fries next to it! Good beers and nice staff as well.

Great night at the Captain, a huge group of us went and the service was fantastic. Best burgers around, make sure not to eat all before you go!

I went for the Gwada Burger simply because I love goat cheese and it came with what tasted like homemade double-dip fries which were simply gorgeous. So many burgers to choose from, I need to go back!

A very cozy and friendly place where even open for 24 hours! Burgers there are the best I had for a long time and they are quite in Normandy style. There is also a cute golden retriever in the restaurtant

Found this fantastic burger / bar in a street beyond the Jean D ark chuch. Good service and exelent beer ( Paulaner). The burgers was well worth the price and more. Many thanks to the owner for the free Jagermeister :-) View menu

We were wandering around Rouen looking for somewhere to eat when we passed this place, and called in. The service was really good, and the burgers are superb, probably the best we've ever had. There was even I live band to entertain us. Excellent.

This is THE place to be to have an amazing night and food!First the restaurant is awesome and the food was of high quality! from the burger to the little tasty homemade sauce with the olives. so well done to the cook! Secondly the entertainment is brilliant, offeringb either watching football or having a laugh with their karaoke event or u can chill during ur meal, for all taste + the waiters are very helpful! well done to the concept and the staff! Last but not least, the boss is very welcoming and check on u during the meal so you feel at ease and looked after! thank you!! an amazing place in all!!!!
