"We had selected another couple of restaurants but both were full so we stumbled across this place. To sum up, it's a shame - the chef is obviously very good indeed but the place is spoiled by awful front of house / service. The menu is pretty extensive and, as well as traditional French food, it has pizza and a few things verging on American. We were seated by a friendly but harassed-looking waitress. Shortly after we sat down, we noticed the guy stood behind the bar area having a major telling-off session with one of the other members of staff. We should have taken that as a warning ;)In all, there was the bar guy and three waiting staff. The young girl who mostly served us was the best of the bunch and she was way below the standard you'd expect for a waitress. The other two were utterly hopeless. Dropped glasses and completely ignored customers. Basically, a couple of college students who had been given no training whatsoever on how to look after paying customers. They were on a different planet entirely.I was the only one of our family group to have a starter. It took a fair while to come..... It was Coquilles St Jaques (scallops with a cheese sauce) and I have to say that it was superb. One of the best things I've eaten in quite some time. So 1 nil to the chef.We waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for the mains. One of the French families on a nearby table left after a heated argument with the bar guy (the manager??) due to the length of time it took. Other French folks in there were starting to talk amongst themselves as to how awful the service was and it became a running joke. It was like Fawlty Towers. On crack.I took 10 minutes to get a wine menu. It then took multiple attempts to get anyone to come and take a wine order. When they did, the wine never actually came. I gave up.A real shame as the plates of food we all (eventually) got were all, without exception, really, really good.We finally managed to pay (it even took 3 attempts to get the bill) and left.I would not go back - the atmosphere was bad because the waiting staff / bar guy obviously had a dreadful working relationship and, in terms of looking after customers, were so far out of their depth that it was bordering on comical."

I was not too impressed with this restaurant. The service was slow and the food was not edible. I could not really recommend.

Been there on a recommendation of locals and gosh what a trap! If you are out for ti-ti-parisienne waitresses, this is your place 15 mins return time for

Restaurant was very busy lunchtime, inside and outside. Managed to get a seat outside. Food was ok, Tagliatelle Carbonara with fried egg on top, very tasty and spaghetti bolognaise ok. Service was a bit difficult as nobody seemed to speak english!

We went for the fixed price menu as there was a good variety on it and we were finding a lot of the restaurants quite pricey. The waiter was very friendly and helpful when choosing what we wanted. Definitely the best place we had eaten in on our trip. Tiramisu was a definite plus. View menu

Was very quiet and lacked atmosphere Three of group had pizzas which were average, the other carpaccio - food lacked flavour and nothing special about it Two drinks each and the bill came to almost 100 Euros which didn't seem value for what we had Wine room looked fantastic Wouldn't return

The pizzas were revolting and very expensive - cost 19 euros each (paid 3euros extra for large for 2 people) but they were 1/2 the size of a plate per person. They were not fresh and very average. Went in the loo, which was dark, put my hand out where i thought the light switch was and wires were hanging out which I only could see when the lights automatically came on. Looked like it was under construction.

Friendly welcome and good service. Ordered a Caesar Salad and the dressing arrived in a commercial plastic bottle just plonked on then table. Asked for parmesan cheese for my husband's spaghetti bolognaise and that, too, arrived in its original commercial plastic container for us to open and sprinkle on the food ourselves! Ordered a glass of wine which was so sweet it was virtually undrinkable. A shame, as the staff were so pleasant, but we wont be rushing back. View menu

We dined here as part of a large group of friends who had visited in previous years. The place was almost empty when we arrived having walked past plenty of other establishments that were heaving with people. Does that say something about it?The menu included burgers, pizzas, pasta (spaghetti bolognese), as well as a specials board of fish, carpaccio of beef, mussels, chicken etc. which attracted a fixed price of around €24.The food is nice, nothing special. Would I visit again? Probably not.

We had a three-course set menu, with three choices per course. The food varied between acceptable (starters), quite good (steak for main course) and excellent (dessert). We felt that the price was reasonable for the quality of the food. The meal was, however, let down by the exceptionally bad service: the waiter told us we couldn’t have any bread (in a French restaurant!) but would have to wait for the one bread roll which came with the starter. He then brought us the wrong kind of water. When we ordered steak, he immediately said that “it was too thick to be well-done”, even though neither of us had asked for this – evidently assuming that all English folk want their steak done this way. When...
