"Chez Karine has a lot of competition in Eygalieres, but it doesn't seem to have noticed, or to care. On arrival, there was one other couple in the restaurant. We waited in the courtyard for a member of staff to appear to seat us. No-one...appeared so we went int the bar area. The waiter was behind the bar playing on his phone and seemed to regard our presence as an unwanted distraction. The service was acceptable we got what we ordered reasonably quickly but it was without any pleasantries; service without a smile. The food was OK enormous starter and generous portions of pasta, but it really felt as if the waiter just wanted to pack up and go home (we arrived at about 19h30."

"Disappointing. The physical appearance of the restaurant was nice, with a beautiful view of the city. The service was excellent as to be expected by the 1* rating. However, I was surprised that the dishes were not more imaginative and creative as I would have hoped. Several courses the foie gras, the fish quenelle, the scorpion fish, and the pork belly showed balance and subtlety, but a bit bland with not a lot of depth of flavor. They seemed rather conventional and not particularly exciting for a 1* restaurant. The substitution of leeks (also bland for the caviar course was extremely disappointing and a bit puzzling (I would have expected a caviar substitution to have a more similar flavor profile, for example, a tartare of tuna, etc. . The wine pairings were the highlight of the meal, with excellent service by the sommelier. I also thought the cheeses on the trolly were excellent. But the wine and the cheese were produced by others, not by the kitchen staff. Overall, I felt that the experience did not live up to my very high expectations of Michelin 1* dining, and it's unlikely that I will return in the future given the many other fine dining options in Lyon."

"Very nice place. the arrival is made by a path that prepares us for the typical setting of the alpilles. private parking is waiting for us and even a minute deposit at the foot of the stairs of the hotel entrance. A real plus. reception at reception is in a large cathedral hall. the staff is bilingual or even more and the smile is put. our room was upstairs and was on the hotel pool. pool large, secure, the number of sunbed and parasol is sufficient, the calm is respected, the fountain gives a certain charm instead. the hotel restaurant is excellent, the chef works with local producers, the staff is very professional. Breakfast is also made up of fresh and local products. the room is large, clear, well decorated. for the start, we can make the room at noon, which is very appreciable and allows not to stress. a place for relaxation, where it makes good living and delicious meals"
