"historic cellar that hosts various jazz formations. you pass in front of a bar corner on the ground to descend into the cellar where the tight tables are all complete. a lady warmly welcomes us and finds us what to sit. we do not see the 7 musicians too well, but tv screens are hung to the walls and allow us to follow. Most of the people dinent. As we arrived late, we take a digestive. The atmosphere tries to look like the one I've seen in the cellars in the late 1960s, but neither the public nor the musicians really believe it! we go back to the bar where we talk with the "patron" that prepare the cocktails. It fights for the place to persist, that the musicians continue to play in this little mythical place, so that the Chinese don't buy it to set up a restaurant...not easy.Thank you to him and the lady for the welcome and the pleasant evening."

excellent musical group and great atmosphere in this renowned cellar. The meal, very classic, was not the highlight of this resolutely musical establishment with a surviving charm. We spent an unusual and unforgettable evening.

I strongly advise you to go there, it's a Parisian heritage to save!at first sight dinner is expensive but when you understand that in addition to a good kitchen, you have a high quality group, it's understandable!to redo 1000 times!

the place is small, but the heart of people is immense. Beautiful jazz! It's a very Parisian place where you can't stop going. Of course at night. I am transported in the 1920s} I loved it!Of course, you can eat and drink. and the very rich passage!

I loved to know this restaurant/bar! We were looking for a place to have dinner, music and we were recommended this place. there's a cozy atmosphere, you can choose or not for dinner. with 3 types of values. Music was a show apart! a jazz band, which described a little the story of this rhythm. Beautiful! View menu

Jazz is better than food but all the food we ordered was correct. This is not the place to go to talk, but if you like jazz, you will not be disappointed. the restaurant/club is at the bottom of the street level, which gives the place a good atmosphere but it is quite limited for space. It's not cheap but if you take into account live jazz, the menu price doesn't seem so bad.

The small newspaper is an ideal place for jazz lovers. they have a large rotating distribution of excellent musicians who play traditional jazz in the style of louis armstrong and sidney bechet six nights a week. Surprisingly, they also have excellent cuisine. I enjoyed a delicious caille paste and a baked cod. It is a friendly place where musicians mix with the bosses. A real Parisian find. View menu

So we were looking for a new jazz-restaurant room with the woman and fell on this beautiful address of the boulevard saint michel. We have won gold with the free olive quartet dedicated to honoring the music of sydney Bechet. Surprisingly, food was also a treat and we ended up spending a memorable evening. We had the chance to have a table for two, which contributed significantly to this positive. print. others have had to be content with giving their neighbors a quirk while eating, but I can hardly imagine that such a contingency has diminished their pleasure. the discovery of concert halls being a must-see of our trips abroad, I can say without fear that the little Saint michel newspaper i...

We stopped for a drink and jazz after dinner. the menu was all in French that I did not speak fluently, I realized that there was an agreement with the first glass and the second that I misinterpreted as 1 glass for 20 € each but 2 glasses for 9 € each. I bought a drink for me and my boyfriend, but when asked for the bill, it turned out that the price of drinks was per person; therefore for each person 20€ for the first consumption and 9€ for the second. our bill was 40 € for 2 drinks. it was then explained that the high price was to pay the group pocket. I would have liked it to be explained when ordering drinks because the waitress spoke English well and could say that we were not speaking...
