"From good reviews on TripAdvisor, we had dinner in this little gem of a restaurant (10 of us!) last Thursday to celebrate my brother's birthday and had the best of times! The quality and freshness of the food for all of us, coupled with the wonderful atmosphere and humour from the owner made it an unforgettable night! Defo recommend this as a must, forget extortionate prices and poor food by the sea front and we will go back when we next visit La Baule. Jeudi dernier pour fêter l'anniversaire de mon frère et avons passé un moment incroyable! La qualité et fraîcheur des plats pour nous tous, ainsi que la superbe ambiance et l'humour du patron en ont fait une soirée inoubliable! Définitivement recommandé, oubliez les prix exorbitants et pauvre qualité de produits sur le front de mer, nous y retournerons sans faute lors de notre prochain passage à La Baule. "Tombés par hasard sur ce restaurant, avec mon copain nous avons passer une très bonne soirée. Une très belle carte (petit plus pour le menu a 25€ comprenant entrée plat et dessert). Tartare très bon et surtout très gros coup de cœur sur le chèvre chaud en entrée et les fraises en dessert (accompagnées d'une glace au mojitos à tombé par terre)Très bel endroit, bonne accueil, bonne cuisine, bon rapport qualité prix. Pas d'attente Rien à redire je recommande ce restaurant."

"We went twice in this establishment: for Sunday brunch to 11 with family and for a dinner to 4 . For these 2 visits, the reception and service were perfect with a special mention to the young server who managed our table for brunch. Concerning brunch, because of the Covid we were a little disappointed by the slightest choice, but seafood was very fresh and excellent pastry. A small flat for cooking the leg... For dinner, the menu is very varied and the dishes of quality. I was able to test the soup of really gouty fish and a squirrel with originality (the sauce served except that the dish bathes in the hazelnut butter). Selection of well-developed wines."

"Fidèle à ce restaurant j'ai, de nouveau déjeuné avec beaucoup de plaisir. Menu varié et changeant ce qui est très agréable quand on y retourne régulièrement.Ce jour, menu spécial 15 aout avec ce grain d'exotisme asiatique qui fait voyager nos papilles.Jolie vue..belle ambiance...serveur attentif et charmantbon rapport qualité restaurant a recommander à deux ou à 24 personnes..."

"In my days as Australia 's most uncompromising professional restaurant critic, I would have failed Chez Cocoche.Comprehensively. Apart from a pleasant ambience, it has nothing that I can recommend. The service was contemptuous and slow. Dishes were long in coming and my steak tartare, the easiest...of our mains to prepare, failed to arrive at all until I reminded the waitress tdhat I had also ordered a main course. She had forgotten mine, she said, which had the trappings of a lie. My salmon gravlax was more or less smoked salmon with the faintest echo of gravlax flavours, of dill and the wonderful sweet salt melange that cures it. It wasn 't cured either gravlax has a deep almost maroon colour, the flesh dense. This wasn 't. My steak tartare was good, but i chose it because you can 't muck it up too much. a 'souris ' of lamb (shank) came from a huge beast and was far too tough. The meat should melt off the bone; it needed much more cooking. And foie gras was a little too salty also my alleged gravlax. Okay but not worthy of proper restaurant cooking were desserts a steak, and a veal kidney. We paid 200 euros for four and proobably couldn 't have spent it more poorly on food."
