a welcoming and warm hotel as a setting of authentic, light and tasteful cuisine. and we enjoyed it with the menu from noon to €. from the velvety velvety of potimarron to st moret, passing by a delicious encornet stuffed with rice and vegetables to the gourmet panna cotta caramel apples. We really appreciate it, thank you!

a charming restaurant near the abbey not to be missed. good service, listening and efficiency. dishes to original creation are good. a little hic, the resistance dish would have deserved to be a little warmer and the meat a little more cooked. the value ratio is correct but nothing exceptional, however. restaurant to discover.

Deux dîners pendant le festival . Donc les repas «  festival » servis rapidement avec sourire et compétences. Le menu 3 plats est très équilibré et original Les portions sont honorables et assure que le festivalier ne roupillera pas au concert qui suit … On sait servir entre le concert de 18h et celui de 21h sans stress! Great food, nicely presented. In a pescatarian which can sometimes prove difficult in certain restaurants, but not here! A great selection of fish/seafood offerings and also fresh from the market daily specials. The cheese board was varied and there was a good wine list featuring local wines... Try the local fortified wine Pineau there 's a red and white variety (I preferred the White... But they are both worth sampling)

If you want a fancy dinning experience. Could be something a little romantic. A dinner that I will not forget. Take time out of your vacation and splurge! This is well worth it. I kept thinking.. Wow, I am in France and eating this wonderful gourmet meal! We ate the 34euro meal (about 5 courses) on Thursday and went back on Saturday for the 46euro meal (About 7 or 8 courses). We missed Friday because they were completely booked. It's a good idea to make a reservation. Most French restaurants open at 7pm for dinner. They spoke little english but we managed well.

This is a lovely venue near the centre of Saintes. Upmarket decor and formal ambience. The set 3 course lunch is amazing value for 17 euors and the house wine excellent. The food was faultless and the presentation impressive. Unfortunately what really lets it down is the service. Despite the waiting staff almost outnumbering the guests, we waited 20 minutes before we were given menus. We then had to get up and ask someone if we could order drinks. These were prepared and left standing on the counter for nearly 10 minutes, with a waitress staring moodily at the room. Still we will go back, just for the food. View menu
